Benoa’s charms are most evident in Nusa Dua, one of the most beautiful beaches in already-legendary Bali. In this land of rice terraces, spectacular volcanoes and over 20,000 temples, the main destination is the stunning 17th-century royal temple complex of Pura Taman Ayun in nearby Mengwi, surrounded by a lotus-filled moat, giving it the feel of a garden sanctuary. Another favorite is the Sunset Temple, Tanah Lot, and don’t miss the batik factories for that perfect gift or souvenir.

POST - BALINESE TRADITIONS -2025-26 CODE: BEOL54
Enjoy a balance of idyllic days luxuriating at your beachfront hotel and exploring cultural landmarks that include a Hindu temple, bustling markets, countryside villages and a monument that commemorate Bali’s independence.
DAY 1
Following disembarkation in Benoa, meet your guide and drive to Denpasar City, the current capital of Bali Province. Historically, it was the capital of the Badung Empire, controlling the southern region of Bali Island from the end of 18th century until conquered by the Dutch in 1906.
Your first stop will be at the Bajra Sandhi Monument, which commemorates the Balinese struggle against Dutch colonialism. Designed in the shape of a Hindu bell, the monument contains dozens of detailed dioramas that depict Bali’s long history, including the introduction of Hinduism and the country’s eventual independence.
Next, visit the traditional Badung Market which is located in the heart of the city. It is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day making it the busiest market in Bali. This market has become the main trade center for all convenience goods from groceries to spices, fish and meat, clothing, kitchen crafts and batik textiles. It offers a glimpse into the hustle and bustle of the lives of the locals. If you find something you like don’t be shy to negotiate!
Next, visit the Bali Museum and then on the north side of the city, visit the glorious Temple of Jagatnatha, a Hindu Kahyangan Temple.
Stop briefly at the Inna Bali Heritage Hotel for a refreshment break. This hotel was the first international class hotel in Bali and is steeped in history. World leaders such as Queen Elizabeth, Charlie Chaplin, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Ir Soekarno Untuk Megawati and other prominent figures have all stayed here in room 77.
Following your brief refreshment stop, you will drive to your hotel for check-in.
The Apurva Kempinski Bali is a luxurious beachfront hotel perched atop a majestic cliff and offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.
The remainder of the day is at your leisure and lunch and dinner are on your own. You may choose to enjoy the amenities of the resort or head out and see some of the local sites on your own.
Check in is 3:00pm. Although every effort will be made to have rooms available beforehand, this cannot be guaranteed. If your room is not ready when you arrive, you may temporarily store luggage at the reception desk.
DAY 2
Following breakfast at the hotel, the morning will be at your leisure, allowing you to explore freely and then enjoy lunch on your own.
Later in the day you will be met and transferred to Jimbaran, a typical fishing village and coastal resort town. Here you will enjoy a hearty fresh grilled seafood dinner at sunset accompanied by a traditional Balinese Dance performance.
Return to your hotel where the evening is at leisure.
DAY 3
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel followed by a journey into the countryside to visit small villages known for their trades and local temples.
Your first stop is at Celuk Village which is known for its production of gold and silver handicrafts. Here, almost all of the villagers are skilled at crafting beautiful pieces that are sold worldwide.
Continue to Penglipuran Culture Village where you will be charmed by the beautifully landscaped homes sitting neatly in a row along a street that runs through the center of the village toward the local temple. The village people live under strict rules just like their ancestors centuries ago, and their architecture is a reflection of this tradition: the front side of the house faces Mt. Agung, home of the gods and each house has its own temple. Through the years, Penglipuran Village has evolved into a community-based tourism destination. You can enter any of the houses where you’ll be welcomed by friendly residents who are typically willing to show you around their compound, each following old Balinese spatial and architectural rules.
Following a typical Balinese lunch, your final stop will be at Kerta Gosa, an ancient court of justice. Admire the unique and traditional Balinese architecture in the gates, walls and main structures. Its distinctive highlight are the painted ceilings of the halls. These exquisite paintings are a fine showcase of the technique known as Kamasan style.
Back at the hotel the remainder of the day and evening are at your leisure with dinner on your own.
DAY 4
Following breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport based on your flight details. Hotel check out time is at 12:00pm. Should guests have a late flight, luggage storage is available at the hotel until the transfer time.
NOTE: Due to hotel buyout, guests on Navigator's March 31, 2026 sailing will need to depart the hotel by 3:00pm on Day 4. This exclusive journey promises authentic connection, relaxation, and discovery in one of Indonesia’s most enchanting destinations.
Special Notes:
•Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below about airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
•Please advise the RSSC Reservations team when you book this program should you have any special dietary restrictions or requirements. Requests will be sent to our local ground operators for review. There is a set menu meal on Day 2. Changes will not be able to be accommodated at the last minute.
•Due to luggage restrictions on the flights during this program, we recommend packing one suitcase per person and leaving any excess at the port when you disembark. It will be transferred by our local ground operator for this program to your hotel in Bali where you will be re-united with it on Day 3. Please pack accordingly prior to disembarking the ship as your excess luggage will be collected before you board the tour bus.
DAY 1
Disembark the ship in Benoa. Separate any excess luggage for storage and transfer from the pier to the Bali Airport for a flight to Sumba.
Located in eastern Indonesia, Sumba is renowned for its rugged landscapes, pristine beaches, and rich cultural heritage. Unlike its more developed neighbors, Sumba remains largely unspoiled, with vast savannahs, rolling hills, and remote villages where ancient customs thrive. The local Marapu religion shapes daily life with elaborate rituals and sacred ceremonies, while traditional houses—distinctive with their towering, peaked roofs—dot the countryside. Sumba is also famous for exquisite handwoven ikat textiles, crafted by skilled artisans using techniques passed down through generations. The island’s biodiversity is equally remarkable, home to rare bird species and unique flora, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
Upon arrival here, you’ll be greeted and taken to Makan Dulu, an open-air restaurant run by the Sumba Hospitality Foundation, a local non-profit organization. This social enterprise gives approximately fifteen students hands-on training in culinary and service skills—every meal served supports their vocational education and reinvests into the foundation.
After lunch, you’ll visit the Sumba Cultural Centre, where you'll have a concise introduction to the island’s traditions—everything from textile weaving to ancestral rituals—before heading on to your hotel.
Located along the shores of a coral reef and bordered by turquoise lagoons and traditional villages, Cap Karoso serves as an elegant base for discovering the Indonesian island of Sumba.
During your stay you may wish to experience the variety of aquatic environments surrounding the resort, including swimming or snorkeling in the serene Karoso Lagoon, surfing at Pero, fishing with local fishermen, or exploring the distinctive turquoise waters of Weekuri saltwater lake.
For those looking for something more serene, expert Sumbanese instructors provide daily yoga and meditation sessions that incorporate unique elements of Sumbanese tradition and the spa, situated within a traditional Sumbanese residence, features treatments inspired by ancient shamanic healing rituals utilizing botanicals sourced from their on-site farm and neighboring communities.
As your day winds down, consider a stroll along the beautiful shoreline. Dinner is at your leisure, allowing you to choose when and where to dine in the calm surroundings of the resort.
Note: For groups of ten guests or more staying in-house, a Regent Seven Seas Hospitality Desk will be available at the hotel.
DAY 2
After breakfast the day unfolds with a journey into the highlands of Sumba. A short drive brings you to Waikaroko, a traditional village where life remains beautifully anchored in ancestral rhythm.
You’ll be welcomed with song and dance—a vibrant expression of local warmth and pride—before being invited to walk among the tall, thatched uma, homes that shelter both the living and the spirits of those who came before.
Meet with village elders to learn about Marapu, Sumba’s ancestral belief system that continues to shape daily life on the island. Rooted in animism, Marapu centers on maintaining harmony between humans, nature, and the spirit world, with rituals often tied to agriculture, ancestor worship, and sacred sites.
After this insightful exchange, return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Rest, explore the surroundings, or simply unwind.
In the evening, gather again for a private group beach dinner including a three-course set menu, live Humba acoustic music, a traditional Sumba dance, and the serene view of grazing Sumbanese horses.
DAY 3
After breakfast, check-out, settling any incidentals before your transfer to the airport and the flight back to Bali.
Upon arrival in Bali, you will be met by our local guide who will assist you with a transfer from the airport to your hotel for the evening.
The remainder of the day will be at your leisure. Lunch and dinner are on your own today.
DAY 4
After breakfast and check out, you will be transferred by private vehicle to the Bali International Airport in accordance with your flight details. Should you have a later departing flight, luggage storage will be available until your transfer. Check-out time at the hotel is 12:00pm.
Solo travellers will transfer in a sedan and couples in a van. Sedans hold 2 pieces of luggage, plus 2 carry-on bags. Vans hold 4 pieces of luggage plus, 2 or 3 carry-on bags. If you have more luggage than is permissible, a larger vehicle may be required for additional cost. Please advise your booking agent at least 21 days before sailing if a larger vehicle is required.

What to Bring:
This is a casual and culturally immersive program, so lightweight, breathable clothing is recommended.
Please keep local customs in mind:
•Avoid revealing clothing; covered shoulders and knee-length shorts or skirts are appropriate for village visits.
•Bring a hat or head covering, sunscreen, sunglasses, and mosquito repellent—especially for early morning or evening activities.
•Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes are essential for village terrain. Flip-flops or sandals are not recommended for cultural visits.
•A small pack of tissues or wet wipes can also be useful, as facilities may be basic in rural areas.
•While dinner is relaxed, you may wish to bring a casual outfit for the evening.
Local Currency:
The local currency in Sumba is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Credit cards are not widely accepted outside of a few hotels and restaurants, so it is essential to carry cash. While some places may accept US Dollars, it is not guaranteed. Rupiah is strongly preferred for local purchases, tips, and entry fees.
We recommend bringing smaller denominations of USD for emergency use, but it’s best to exchange money before arriving in Sumba, either in Bali, or at the airport. ATMs in Sumba are limited and may not always be reliable, so prepare accordingly.
Electricity
Rooms are typically equipped with 220-volt, two-round-pin (European-style) electrical outlets. We recommend traveling with a universal adapter if you plan to use electronic devices from other countries.
Luggage information
On the flights between Bali and Sumba guests will be permitted to check one bag per person weighing no more than 20kg (44lbs) and one small carry on that will fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you.
Any additional or overweight pieces will be in excess, and fees will be paid to the airline at your expense when checking in. For this reason, should you wish, you may store excess luggage in Bali at your hotel. It will be transferred from the pier on Day 1 of the program to your hotel where you will be reunited with it on Day 3.
Please ensure that any excess bags left for storage are tagged properly and visibly with your full name and suite number on the ship. Note that Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the hotel, nor our local ground operator are responsible or liable for any lost or missing items. We do not recommend leaving valuables behind or in checked luggage. You should keep any valuables, medications and documents with you in your carry-on handbag.
Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)
1.Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) - Guests must obtain a Doctor’s Certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry a POC. Further paperwork may be required by the airline.
2.CPAP Machine NOT being used in flight – please advise RSSC at least 95 days before your cruise if you will bring a CPAP on the internal flight(s) used in this land program. Please supply the make, model and battery type.
3.CPAP Machine to be used during flight – same as above + a doctor’s note is required mentioning the need to use the machine during flight.
*Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding the CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of your manufacturer’s FAA-approval status will help to quickly clear any confusion that may arise.
* Failure to provide the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.
*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.
Documents and Visa Requirements:
Guests must carry a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity
All travelers entering Indonesia must complete the Indonesia Customs Declaration (e-CD) online at Indonesian Customs Declaration (e-CD) should submit their details, including the date of arrival, three days before entering Indonesia
VERY IMPORTANT
The name on your cruise booking, passport, and ANY visas, if required, must all be exactly the same for flight ticket purchase for this program otherwise guests may be denied travel by flight. Please ensure that all documents are identical in spelling to the names provided for your cruise reservation including first, middle and last name.
Manifests generated by the cruise line must match your travel documents. Guests are responsible to make sure that there are enough pages in their passports for any visas that are required – Minimum two pages for each visa.
Failure to have the required and correct documents ahead of time could result in denial of travel and guests will have to pay for any expenses incurred in order to not proceed with the program or guests may need to purchase new flight tickets at their own cost.
The above information is subject to change and serves as a guide only. We would like to take this opportunity to remind all of our guests that it is the ultimate and sole responsibility of the guest to ensure they meet the entry requirements for each destination.

Enjoy a balance of idyllic days luxuriating at your beachfront hotel and exploring cultural landmarks that include a Hindu temple, bustling markets, countryside villages and a monument that commemorate Bali’s independence.
DAY 1
You are met at the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali and transferred to your hotel where the day is at your leisure to enjoy the amenities of the resort or to head out and see some of the local sites on your own.
The Apurva Kempinski Bali is a luxurious beachfront hotel perched atop a majestic cliff and offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.
Check in is at 3:00pm. Although every effort will be made to have rooms available before this time, this cannot be guaranteed.
All meals on are your own today.
DAY 2
Following breakfast at the hotel, the morning will be at your leisure, allowing you to explore freely and then enjoy lunch on your own.
DAY 4
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before settling any incidentals and checking out. En-route to the ship you will drive to Denpasar City, the current capital of Bali Province.
Following your brief refreshment stop, you will transfer to the port where you will embark the ship.

This process supports an environment for meaningful healing and self-discovery, set within the calm of nature. This is followed by a private session with a healer, offering insights and balance through ancient wisdom.

DAY 2
After a restful night in Sanur, check out of your hotel settling any incidentals and storing any excess luggage before your transfer to Ngurah Rai Airport for a flight to the island of Sumba.
DAY 3
After breakfast the day unfolds with a journey into the highlands of Sumba.
DAY 4
After breakfast, check-out, settling any incidentals before your transfer to the airport and the flight back to Bali.

2:30pm Approximate arrival at the port for embarkation
Expected Weather:
Hot and Dry. December in Sumba is typically warm with daytime temperatures averaging 30–32°C (86–90°F). Rain is possible but usually brief and scattered. Humidity can rise during midday, especially inland. The coastal breeze offers some relief, but sun exposure is strong throughout the day.
It will be transferred to the pier on Day 4 of the program.
If traveling internationally, the countries you are flying to and/ or connecting through may have different document requirements and as such we encourage you to visit the government and airport websites of every country you will be traveling to throughout the journey to familiarize yourself with their requirements for your nationality.

POST - BALINESE TRADITIONS - 2026-2027 CODE: BEOL64
Enjoy a balance of idyllic days luxuriating at your beachfront hotel and exploring cultural landmarks that include a Hindu temple, bustling markets, countryside villages and a monument that commemorate Bali’s independence.
DAY 1
Disembark the ship in Benoa, meet your guide and drive to Denpasar City, the current capital of Bali Province.
Next, visit the Temple of Jagatnatha, a Hindu Kahyangan Temple and then stop briefly at the Bali Beach Hotel for a refreshment break.
If your room is not ready when the group arrives, you may temporarily store luggage at the reception desk and then begin to enjoy the facilities of the resort.
DAY 2
Following breakfast at the hotel, the morning will be at your leisure, allowing you to explore freely and then enjoy lunch on your own.
Later in the day you will be met and transferred to a lovely beachside restaurant in the Nusa Dua area. Here, enjoy a delicious meal of authentic Indonesian and Balinese dishes while enjoying the picturesque views.
After dinner, return to your hotel where the evening is at leisure.
DAY 3
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel followed by a journey into the countryside to visit small villages known for their trades and local temples.
Following a typical Balinese lunch, return to your hotel where the remainder of the day and evening are at your leisure and dinner is on your own.
DAY 4
Following breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport based on your flight details. Hotel check out time is at 12:00pm. As evening approaches, savor a dinner at Kepitu Restaurant, a perfect culinary conclusion to a rejuvenating day. After
dinner, enjoy free time at your leisure, with optional access to the beautiful Wanna Jungle Pool and Bar.
DAY 3 – February 15, 2027
Begin the day with a rejuvenating yoga class, setting a peaceful tone and grounding your energy. Follow your practice with breakfast at Kepitu Restaurant, where you can enjoy nourishing dishes in a serene setting.
After breakfast, there's time for an optional Balinese activity to capture your final moments at the resort.
At the designated time, you'll check out and begin the day's exploration, starting with a journey to the Bali Bird Park. Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of tropical birds and enjoy lunch in an open-air dining area located at the center of the park, which provides the perfect setting for a delicious traditional Indonesian meal. As you relax and enjoy your meal, the unique sounds of native birds settling in for the evening create a tranquil background nature’s own music.
The journey continues with a short drive to a traditional Balinese house compound. The Balinese home is often viewed as a living organism. Much like a human being, it has a head (the ancestral shrine), arms (the sleeping quarters and living room) and legs and feet (the kitchen and rice granaries.) This up-close gives you a glimpse into conventional Balinese life.
Next, visit a local Batik factory. This lovely Balinese tradition has been passed down for generations and at the workshop you will have an opportunity to admire the distinctive artistry and technique that goes into producing the famous batik cloth. There will be time afforded here to shop for a souvenir to take home. After the cultural experience, you’ll head south for your arrival at Andaz Bali, where you'll check in and unwind in a luxurious beachfront setting.
DAY 4 – February 16, 2027
After breakfast at the hotel and a morning at leisure, check out and transfer to the port in Benoa for embarkation.
