SPECIAL NOTES:

•Extra nights before the program starts must be booked independently as Rocky Mountaineer is unable to confirm them.
•Please use this itinerary for suggested timings as they may change. Your Tour Director will be able to advise of any changes along the way.
•Rocky Mountaineer requires flight details at least 3 months in advance. If your flights are not booked through Regent Seven Seas Cruises, kindly make sure that we have these details so that the transfer can be arranged accordingly.
DAY 1 – August 6, 2026
Fly to Calgary International Airport and make your way independently to the Fairmont Palliser Hotel located in downtown Calgary. Guests will be provided with a taxi transfer voucher from RSSC approximately 21 days prior to departing, which can be used for transfer between the airport and the hotel. After proceeding through Customs, Immigration and luggage claim, follow the airport signs to the exit and for taxi transportation.
Check in at your Calgary based hotel is at 3:00pm. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Should you have an early arriving flight you may store luggage with the hotel Concierge until your hotel’s check in time.
Meals are on your own today.
DAY 2
After breakfast and then check out, meet your Tour Director in the lobby and set off on a full-day tour ending in Banff. Don’t forget to settle any incidentals before your departure.
Enjoy the scenery with photo stops along the way as you make your way to Banff. Once in the Banff area your tour highlights include Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Also take a ride on the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain where you will experience a stunning bird's-eye view of six incredible mountain ranges.
In time, you will check in at the Rimrock Resort or similar hotel.
Lunch and dinner are on your own today.
Note: A complimentary shuttle stops at the Rimrock Resort Hotel which can take you on the short drive into the town of Banff. Here you will find an array of restaurants and unique shopping opportunities. Shuttle schedules are available at the hotel’s Reception or Concierge Desks.
*Should our group fall below 20 guests, this tour will be shared with other independently booked Rocky Mountaineer guests.
DAY 3
Following breakfast at your hotel, set out for an awe-inspiring full-day sightseeing tour of Banff and Yoho National Parks. Among the highlights today are Lake Louise and Emerald Lake along with the Spiral Tunnels, Natural Bridge and Takakkaw Falls.
Lake Louise and Emerald Lake are both stunning turquoise lakes which are glacially fed and when light hits the lake it is refracted by the rock flour in the water displaying a distinctive azure-blue color. Photo stops will be made in both locations and lunch is also included.
After this fun-filled day you will return to Banff where the remainder of the day and evening are at your leisure. Dinner is on your own.
*Should our group fall below 20 guests, this tour will be shared with other independently booked Rocky Mountaineer guests.
DAY 4
Following an early morning shared motor coach transfer to the Banff Rail Station, you will board the magnificent Rocky Mountaineer train. A gourmet breakfast will be served onboard shortly after departure. For guests who would like a nibble before departure, breakfast is also available at the hotel. Your tour host will provide further details.
The Rocky Mountaineer will head west through the majestic Canadian Rockies to your overnight destination of Kamloops. Highlights include passing by Craigellachie - where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven in 1885, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels – a true engineering feat, and the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies.
Throughout the day onboard the train, enjoy complimentary beverages (with and without alcohol) and gourmet snacks while your train hosts engage the group as they introduce you to your surroundings through storytelling, pointing out and explaining the fauna and flora seen along the journey, as well as of the sites you pass, and the rich history of rail in Canada.
On arrival at the Kamloops station, you will be transferred by shared motor coach to your overnight accommodation (the exact hotel will be allocated by Rocky Mountaineer upon arrival). The evening is at leisure and dinner is on your own.
DAY 5
You will re-board the Rocky Mountaineer, enjoy another gourmet breakfast on board and continue west along the banks of the Fraser River as it winds to the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver.
On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the BC Interior, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains and into the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River.
At Vancouver's Rocky Mountaineer Station, you will board a shared motor coach and transfer to the Fairmont Waterfront or similar hotel. Dinner is on your own.
Note: Please be aware that rail travel in Canada is subject to unforeseen delays. The expected arrival time in Vancouver will be between 5:30pm and 7:00pm.
DAY 6
Following breakfast at your hotel, the day is at your leisure with lunch and dinner on your own.
DAY 7
Following breakfast at leisure and check out, you will be escorted to the Canada Place Cruise Terminal where you will board Seven Seas Explorer® to begin your ultra-luxury Alaskan cruise, or you may choose to make your own way at leisure. Don’t forget to settle any incidentals prior to your departure.
