By far Vietnam’s most popular seaside resort town, Nha Trang offers more than a turquoise bay ringed by a nearly four mile arc of golden sand and a lively promenade. Visit the impressive brick structures of the Po Nagar Cham Towers, built by the Cham civilization between the 7th and 12th centuries. Take in the nearly 80-foot-tall white Buddha of Long Son Pagoda and spectacular surroundings of Hai Duc Pagoda. Snap photos of grass-eating buffalo and terraced rice fields on a drive to villages that dot the countryside around Nha Trang. Or simply relax at a beachside bar with a coconut cocktail.

OVERLAND - THE INSIDER'S HANOI CODE: NHAL03
See sides of Hanoi that few visitors ever experience and come away with an authentic impression of the local culture, an adventure that will be enhanced by flying over and then cruising dramatically beautiful Halong Bay.
Due to the nature of this program, it is not available to guests with mobility restrictions.
Special Note: Guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
DAY 1 - April 23, 2025
After disembarking the cruise ship in Nha Trang, you will transfer to the Cam Ranh airport for a two-hour flight to Hanoi. A light meal will be served on the flight.
Upon landing, you will be greeted and assisted with VIP Fast track services and transferred to the Sofitel Hanoi or a similar hotel for the evening.
Hanoi is home to centuries-old traditional architecture that stands alongside French-colonial mansions as well as traditional temples. The life of the city can be seen in the narrow streets of the Old Quarter, where small boutiques, coffee shops and lively street vendors contribute to the vibrant atmosphere.
DAY 2 - April 24, 2025
You will get an early start to witness Hanoi slowly come to life as market vendors and city workers prepare for the day ahead.
A driver will take you through Hanoi on a cyclo, a three-wheeled bicycle taxi that accommodates two passengers. You will pass through boulevards that will become crowded later in the day but are just coming to life. While visiting the Botanical Gardens, you will likely see locals exercising, following tai chi masters and playing badminton—all typical early-morning activities.
Continuing on in the cyclo, you will travel along a leafy street lined with French colonial villas. You will stop to explore the city’s largest fresh food market, where many local shops and restaurants source their produce. The market is located near Long Bien Bridge, an iconic steel overpass that the French built in the early 20th century.
Return to your hotel for breakfast and to freshen up before continuing your tour.
Proceed to the mausoleum of former President Ho Chi Minh and learn about his role in Vietnam’s journey towards independence. His humble stilted house, which resembles an ethnic village home, is nearby.
Other landmarks include the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique 11th-century structure dedicated to King Ly Thai To’s son, and Hoa Lo Prison, which was known as the Hanoi Hilton during the Vietnam War.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will walk alongside the train tracks and observe typical Hanoian families living in narrow houses beside the railway line. Small boutique shops and quaint cafés line the gravel road where residents gather to converse and hang out their laundry to dry. The passing of a train, just inches from their houses, seems to be just another part of the day in this humble area of town.
You will then travel to a trendy lounge for a cup of coffee while enjoying the scenery. You will see Long Bien Bridge, an iconic steel overpass that the French built across the Red River in the early 20th century.
Back at the hotel, you will have time to relax and freshen up before exploring Hanoi in the evening on the back of a Vespa. The driver will take you through busy streets and narrow passageways to show you a side of Hanoi that most visitors never see. You can expect it to be a genuine glimpse of daily life, especially while pausing at a vegetable market and to meander past narrow houses where many generations of the same family live together under one roof.
To add to your understanding of local life, you will also stop to sample local delicacies and a glass of bia hoi, a fresh brewed Vietnamese beer. Before returning to the hotel, you will take one last trip to a trendy area near West Lake to soak up the atmosphere.
DAY 3 - April 25, 2025
Following breakfast at the hotel and check out, you will head back to Noi Bai airport and take a seaplane to Halong Bay. The one-hour flight offers fabulous aerial views of the bay and the surrounding landscape. The water landing will be especially exhilarating.
The UNESCO World Heritage site Halong Bay is known for its natural beauty, where thousands of rugged limestone karsts can be seen jutting out like dragon’s teeth amid the emerald waters. You will see the bay up close on a beautifully crafted Vietnamese sailing vessel with a maximum capacity of 35 guests. As the boat sets sail, you will be served lunch.
Out on deck is the best place to watch the dramatic scenery unfold and soak up the majestic atmosphere of this surreal landscape as the vessel cruises past limestone islets and grottoes. After an inspiring journey, you will return to the pier and head to the Sunworld Passenger to re-embark the cruise ship.
Please note: The seaplane transfer from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay by seaplane includes a 15-minute scenic flight over the bay. Each passenger is allowed a maximum of seven kilograms of hand luggage on the seaplane. Flights are subject to change at short notice due to weather conditions. Any excess luggage will be transported by road to Halong Bay. Guests will be required to provide their weight for the seaplane journey.

DAY 1 – April 22, 2025
After disembarking the cruise ship in Ho Chi Minh City, you will transfer to the airport for a flight to Danang.
Upon arrival in Danang, you will be greeted and escorted to the meeting point where the jeeps await. While exploring Danang by jeep, you will see the remarkable Cham Museum, which contains the world’s largest collection of sculpture created by the Cham people in the 4th to 14th centuries.
In time, you will drive through the Marble Mountains and on to Hoi An. A UNESCO World Heritage since 1999, Hoi An is a picturesque old town set on the banks of the Thu Bon River. Characterized by several rows of bright yellow traditional houses, the town flourished during the 16th and 17th centuries when it was one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent ports.
The influence of Chinese, Japanese and European traders can still be seen today in the narrow, meandering streets that reveal a range of architecture, including Chinese assembly halls, grand merchants' houses and French colonial villas.
In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at a beautifully decorated, atmospheric restaurant before checking into the Anantara Hoi An Resort or similar accommodations for the night.
DAY 2 – April 23, 2025
After breakfast at the resort, you will begin a 10-kilometer (6.2 miles) bicycle ride to a small vegetable farming village on the outskirts of Hoi An, where you will meet a vegetable farmer that grows various crops using organic and traditional methods.
After being served a welcome drink of freshly squeezed fruits, you will roll up your sleeves to experience a typical day on the farm. You will learn about the different farming equipment and their uses, join the farmers in the field to prepare the land for sowing or crop cultivation and help fertilize the soil using seaweed from the nearby river.
You will also pick some vegetables and herbs from the garden and head to the kitchen to make a local specialty using the freshly harvested ingredients. You will then dine on the concoction that you have just made.
Afterwards, you will pedal farther into the Hoi An countryside. There, you will enjoy lunch in the rice paddies with stunning views of an adjacent river.
The afternoon will be spent exploring the charms of Hoi An’s Old Town on foot. Escorted by a local conservator, you will stroll through winding streets and past rows of traditional houses. Highlights include seeing the grand Old House of Tan Ky and an 18th-century merchant's house, admiring the traditional elegance of the Fukien Assembly Hall and passing through an impressive 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge.
Continuing on, you will soon arrive at a studio that makes traditional lanterns. Guided by experts, you will learn the basics of the centuries-old craft and create our own colorful lantern, which you can take home as a souvenir.
The remainder of the day will be at your leisure. You might wander around the Old Town, shop, try local street foods and relax at a café overlooking the Thu Bon River.
The evening will be spent at the Anantara Hoi An Resort.
DAY 3 – April 24, 2025
Following breakfast at the resort and check out, you will settle in for a private two-hour-and-a-half transfer to Hue, taking the route along the Hai Van Pass, a stretch of road that offers spectacular views of the coastline.
Set along the picturesque Perfume River, Hue is a captivating city that enjoyed an illustrious history as the center of power for Vietnam’s former imperial rulers. The city still maintains much of its majestic charm, where elaborate royal tombs and an imposing Imperial Citadel reveal the extravagant lifestyles of the former emperors.
In Hue, you will visit a local Vietnamese family home to experience traditional values dating back to the feudal period under the Nguyen emperors. You will enjoy a leisurely chat with the family to learn about their lifestyle and traditional customs. You will then take a short walk to see the family’s temple and to experience some of the customs associated with ancestral worship.
Back at the house, you will watch a cooking demonstration and learn how to prepare some traditional dishes with tips from the family. You will then sit down to enjoy the homemade lunch with the host family.
You will next visit the tomb of Tu Duc, known as the Poet Emperor. Designed by the emperor himself, the tomb is set in an elegant garden of pine trees and frangipanis overlooking a magnificent lake. It is a fitting final resting place for the emperor who loved romance and Eastern philosophies.
Not far from the tomb is a village that has been making incense sticks for generations. Commonly used for ancestral worship, incense sticks can be seen in most every house and temple in Vietnam. Here, you will discover how they are made from thin sticks of bamboo that are dyed and dried in a mixture of sandalwood, cinnamon or pine-scented powder.
In the evening, you will enjoy a private dinner at a traditional house on the banks of the Perfume River. Bringing together a collection of original building materials sourced from old properties around Hue, the stone-walled mansion was crafted to recreate the nostalgia of Vietnam’s imperial past. The labor of love took nine years to build and stands amid a garden of native shrubbery and carp-filled ponds overlooking the river. The owner, a professional singer and painter, will entertain you with a musical performance. A five-course meal served in the house will follow. Note: Smart casual dress is required for this evening. Shorts and sandals are not permitted.
You will spend the night at the Pilgrimage Village Boutique Resort & Spa or similar hotel.

OVERLAND - IDYLLIC VIETNAM CODE: NHAL01
Luxuriate at a blissful retreat hidden away in idyllic Nui Chua National Park, a natural wonderland that you can explore in a variety of ways before flying to bustling Hanoi to experience Vietnamese urban life.
Special Note: Guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
DAY 1
Disembark the ship In Nha Trang and explore the sights with your guide. Visit the Oceanographic Institute, Long Son Pagoda and Po Nagar Cham Towers, a sacred Hindu site dating back to the 2nd century AD. The towers were built between the seventh and twelfth centuries and are a place of pilgrimage for Cham and Vietnamese Buddhists.
After lunch at a local restaurant, settle in for an immensely scenic, 2.5-hour drive to the Amanoi Resort & Spa. Located within the verdant embrace of Nui Chua National Park and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Amanoi is a naturally beautiful, remote paradise overlooking Vinh Hy Bay. The resort’s clifftop restaurants and swimming pool, lakeside Aman Spa and private golden beach offer abundant opportunities for outdoor exploration, cultural immersion and serene relaxation.
Other than a scheduled dinner at the resort, the remainder of the day will be at your leisure.
DAY 2 - April 24, 2025
You will be free to take advantage of the resort’s generous amenities as you please. Complimentary services include breakfast, afternoon tea and a morning wellness class in Pilates, yoga or fitness.
If you wish to explore beyond the resort, you may opt for any of the following, which have surcharges:
Explore Vinh Hy Bay. You might sail across the waters on a catamaran, observe the underwater wonders in a glass-bottom kayak and snorkel the reefs below the surface on a guided expedition. Much of the bay is within a conservation area with an abundance of colorful fish and more than 350 varieties of coral. Hobie cats, stand-up paddle boards and windsurfers are also available.
Hike Nui Chua National Park. A variety of trails crisscross through the rugged, forested parkland and offer panoramic views of the natural scenery. You might hike an easy trail to an isolated beach, take a more challenging route through the rocky coastline or follow the path to Goga Peak for perhaps the most sweeping view of the park.
Visit ancient ruins. The 13th-century temple complex of Po Klong Garai presents a window into the ancient heritage of the Cham people, who once dominated the coast of southern Vietnam. After exploring the ruins, you will enjoy the sunset as a Cham master conducts a sacred blessing before a traditional Cham feast is served.
Summit the King. If you wish to spend a full day exploring Nui Chua National Park, you can ascend to the summit of King Peak and then continue on to Cau Gay, a village where the Raglai people live. During this lengthy trek, you can swim in rock pools, gaze out over the stunning scenery and hear legends of the region’s highest peaks.
Wellness Immersions. The spa at the resort offers wellness immersions that are custom-tailored to your individual health and personal goals. There are immersions that refresh the mind, other that naturally cleanse and rejuvenate the body, and still others that are more meditative to inspire a renewed inner focus.
The evening will be spent at the resort with dinner on your own.

OVERLAND - SIMPLY ANGKOR WAT - 2024 CODE: NHAL06
Experience the magnificent Angkor Wat, a temple complex in Cambodia, built for King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center since its foundation – first Hindu, dedicated to the god Vishnu, then Buddhist. The temple has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and is the country's prime attraction for visitors.
Please note:
•There is extensive walking at the temple sites, with steps at Bayon and Angkor Wat
•This program is not recommended for guests with walking difficulty or who use a wheelchair
•Flight schedules are subject to change and thus the tour sequence may vary
•A Cambodian Visa is included in the cost of this program
•Special Note: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour
DAY 1 - November 12, 2024
Disembark the ship in Nha Trang and transfer to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap via Ho Chi Minh City. En route you will have a brief city tour of Nha Trang.
Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will be met and assisted with obtaining your Cambodian Visa.
Transfer to your hotel to freshen up. Later drive to a local restaurant for dinner accompanied by a traditional performance. After dinner, return to your hotel.
DAY 2 – November 13, 2024
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then transfer to the Angkor Thom complex. You will visit the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom and the famous Bayon Complex whose giant stone faces have become one of the most recognizable images connected to classic Khmer art and architecture. The curious smiling faces are said to be the representation of King Jayavarman VII, the creator of Bayon Temple. Next you will move on to the Elephants Terrace & Leper King.
Another highlight is a visit to the famous Ta Prohm Temple, famous for its forest atmosphere with enormous fig trees. This temple looks just as it did when the first European explorer arrived. You may recognize it as it’s also the location of many scenes filmed for Angelina Jolie’s huge blockbuster movie, Tomb Raider.
Your morning of adventure will be followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon you will drive to Bantey Srei, the beautiful ‘Women’s Citadel’ located 32km from Siem Reap town. This is the last major Khmer temple to be re-discovered in Cambodia.
The day will end with a visit to the famous Angkor Wat. This is the highest and most magnificent
temple in Cambodia. This huge temple was built by King Suryavarman as a Hinduist temple with his
tomb on the top tower.
Your guide will point out the best spots for taking photos of this massive temple complex as you walk amidst the moss-peppered cobbled pathways, gaze up at the intricately carved tower tops and perhaps climb the steep and narrow temple steps that lead to wide courtyards.
The remainder of the evening is at your leisure with dinner on your own.
DAY 3 - November 14, 2024
