Special Notes:

Guests should be able to embark and disembark on safari vehicles on their own. Roads in the National park are rough and bumpy. Guests must be physically fit to participate and this program is not recommended for guests with any walking difficulties or those who require use of a wheelchair or scooter.

Chartered light aircraft will be used during this program. Please advise your weight at the time of booking, this is required to determine weight distribution on the aircraft. Please see further below for luggage restrictions. (plane type subject to change dependent on final group size)

DAY 1 - February 18, 2026

Disembark the ship in Dar Es Salaam and transfer to Julius Nyerere International Airport for a two-hour light aircraft charter flight to Serengeti. Note: Make sure to eat a hearty breakfast before departing. Should immigration allow, boxed lunches will be provided by the ship.

On arrival at Seronera airstrip, you will be met and transferred through the renowned Serengeti National Park en route to the Four Seasons Lodge.

Enjoy a short game-viewing drive en-route to the lodge. The Serengeti is arguably the most famous national park in the world; it perhaps defines the safari experience as surely as the wildlife that inhabits it. Established in 1951, and covering an area of almost 15,000 square kilometers (5850 square miles), an area comparable to the state of Connecticut or Northern Ireland, the Serengeti hosts a fantastically diverse eco-system.

The famous short and long grass plains of the south slowly unfurl into the Acacia Savannah of the central area, the hilly, more densely wooded areas of the north, and the extensive woodland in the western corridor, each with its own resident variations of African wildlife. The Serengeti promises all that the first-time game-viewer or experienced safari-hand could ever hope to witness and it rarely, if ever, disappoints.

Accommodation at the Four-Season Lodge perfectly combines the intimacy of a lodge and the indulgence expected of a luxury hotel. Nestled in the heart of the park, the lodge offers elegant accommodations with panoramic views, an infinity pool overlooking a bustling waterhole, fine dining, and world-class service — all while being surrounded by nature.

DAY 2 – February 19, 2026

Breakfast is followed by check out and then you will meet your safari guide and set out on a game drive into the park. Stop for a picnic lunch at a special site within the park and then later you will be transferred to Seronera airstrip for a light charter aircraft flight back to Dar Es Salaam.

Upon arrival, you will be met by our local representatives and returned to the ship.

DAY 1

10:00am Ship is scheduled dock at Dar Es Salaam port, followed by immigration formalities

11:00am Disembark and transfer to the airport (boxed lunch provided by the ship)

12:00pm Check in for a light aircraft charter flight to Serengeti

12:30pm Charter flight to Serengeti

3:10pm Arrive in Serengeti

3:20pm Meet your guide and embark your safari jeep

3:25pm Depart for game drive in the park en route to the lodge

5:30-6pm Welcome drinks followed by checking in to your rooms

7:30pm Dinner at the lodge

DAY 2

6:30am Breakfast at the lodge

8:00am Check out

8:15am Meet your guide and depart for game drive in the park with packed lunch

12:30pm Picnic lunch at a special site within the park

1:30pm Proceed with game drive en route to Seronera Airstrip

3:30pm Fly to Dar es Salaam

6:10pm Land in Dar es Salaam

6:30pm Collect any luggage and transfer to the port

7:30pm Arrive at the port of Dar es Salaam and re-join the cruise

•The contents and order of activities in this program are subject to change by the lodge management without prior notice, due to the prevailing weather conditions and movement of wildlife

•4x4 vehicles traverse uneven terrain that can be bumpy. Therefore, this tour is not recommended for guests with back or neck problems or for those who require use of a wheelchair or scooter.

•Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

•During early morning game drives in vehicles, it can be a little cool. We recommend that guests take along a windbreaker.

•Vehicle allocations will be 4 guests per vehicle

•This program is not fully guided. Local representatives will assist you with your transfers however, the program at the lodge is run solely and at the discretion by the lodge staff.

•Flights are not accompanied

•Visitors should take antimalarial medication, use mosquito repellent, and cover exposed skin, especially in the evenings. We recommend the use of anti-malarial prophylactics subject to advice from your doctor.

Weather:

The average temperature in Serengeti National Park in February for a typical day ranges from a high of 84°F (29°C) to a low of 61°F (16°C).

What to bring:

Comfortable closed toe shoes and casual light clothing that can be layered depending on the temperature, sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera and binoculars.

Electricity

Tanzania electricity is based on English standards, meaning it is (usually) supplied at 230Volts, 50Hz. This means that all European electrical equipment should work, from laptop power supplies to mobile phone chargers. Wall sockets use an English 3 pin fused plug which requires the use of travel adapters for those from other countries.

We recommend you bring a universal travel adapter for electric devices.

Only 1 SOFT SIDED suitcase of 15 kg/33 lbs. is allowed per person on the light aircraft charger flights. Please pack lightly for this one night overland.

•ONLY SOFT BAGS ARE PERMITTED: baggage including camera equipment and hand luggage is restricted to 2 pieces maximum with total of 15kg (33 lbs.) per person including hand luggage which should not exceed 5kg / 11 lbs.) – details subject to change

•No single item of luggage may exceed the following measurements: Length: 62cm (24 inches); Width: 25cm (10 inches); Height: 30cm (12inches). This includes hand-luggage and camera equipment.

•No rigid structures, including but not limited to, frames, tools, wheels etc. are allowed.

•CPAP machines not permitted unless they are small and can fit within the allowable luggage limits

•The light aircraft flight is strictly subject to runway conditions and serviceability.

Documents and Visa Requirements:

This program takes place within Tanzania. A passport that is valid at least 6 months after travel is required.

Please check with your local embassy for any visa requirements for your nationality.

VERY IMPORTANT

The name on your cruise booking, passport and any visas if required, must all be exactly the same for flight ticket purchase for this program otherwise guests may be denied travel by flight. Please ensure that all documents are identical in spelling to the names provided for your cruise reservation including first, middle and last name. Manifests generated by the cruise line must match your travel documents.

Failure to have the required documents ahead of time will result in denial of travel and guests will have to pay for any expenses incurred in order to not proceed with the program.

Please note: Land programs that encompass multiple days ashore customarily include extensive and prolonged activity, while those of shorter durations typically have more moderate activity levels. However, each program varies, and participants should be prepared to negotiate a mixture of surfaces which may include inclines, cobblestones, sand, and gravel or natural paths. There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair or motorized scooter and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation. Weather appropriate clothing; hats; sunglasses; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are generally recommended.

All land programs are capacity controlled and subject to availability. Programs falling under the minimum number of required participants are subject to cancellation. Pricing listed is also subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases for transportation, land arrangements or currency fluctuations.

Once purchased, pricing is guaranteed and not subject to change. Mid cruise overland programs must be purchased no later than 90 days prior to your sail date. Cancellations made within 90 days or less prior to the sail date are subject to 100% cancellation penalty.
