DAY 2

Next, your journey continues to Kampong Glam, Singapore's Muslim community, with its focal point being the Sultan Mosque. Here, you will find the biggest concentration of Muslim restaurants and shops selling merchandise from all over the Islamic world. These shops are a riot of colors, displaying textiles, antiques, jewellery, artefacts, perfumes and basket wares. Capping your Kampong Glam tour is a stroll along the charming and photogenic Haji Lane, Singapore’s original hipster neighbourhood that is lined with special interest shops, boutiques, watering holes, cafés, and restaurants.
Next, it’s time to discover Singapore’s unique Peranakan culture as you head towards the Joo Chiat and Katong neighborhood. Discover its quirky shop houses, hidden temples and quaint stores featuring Peranakan wares. Enjoy a talk on this rich culture, sample some local delicacies prepared in the Baba Nyonya culinary style at the Intan Private Home Museum. You will also see the special Kebaya collections by the owner. Kebaya which is an upper garment that is traditionally made from fabrics such as velvet, cotton, gauze, lace, or voile, and at times adorned with embroidery has been given a UNESCO recognition of intangible cultural award.
After your exploration, visit a local resident’s home in one of Singapore’s vibrant neighborhoods. Enjoy delicious traditional Singaporean dishes whilst engaging in meaningful conversations with your host about Singapore’s culture, traditions, and daily life. Note: guests will be required to remove shoes when entering the private home.
After lunch, you will return to your hotel to spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure, or you may choose to stay in the city and make your way back to your hotel. Dinner is on your own this evening.
DAY 3
Following breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide for a tour of Gardens by the Bay -- a 250-acre park that is home to more than 250,000 rare plants housed in giant domed conservatories, with several different regions to discover.
Step into the Flower Dome and wonder at nature merged with spectacular, innovative design. This section replicates the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean regions and houses flora that thrive in these conditions. Wander through the gardens and discover all the marvels of nature and technology that make this award-winning attraction quite fascinating. Take time to visit the mysterious, mist-veiled Cloud Forest, where a 115-foot 'mountain' showcases the world's tallest indoor waterfall and presents plant life from the tropical highlands.
Next, visit to the Grand Old Lady – Raffles Hotel - where you can sample the famous Singapore Sling at the Long Bar. Note: the dress code is smart casual when visiting the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel

Expected Weather:
Singapore is known for its hot and humid weather, with little variation throughout the year. The average daytime temperature is 31ºC (88ºF), dropping to around 24ºC (75ºF) in the evenings. The monsoon season can bear down pretty heavily on our tropical weather from November onwards. Be prepared for rain on a daily basis during this period.
What to bring:
When packing, keep in mind that you will be in the tropics. Light, cool, and casual clothing is recommended all year round. Bring your bathing suit, good walking shoes, umbrella or rain jacket, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, cameras and chargers.
Local Currency:
The currency used in Singapore is the Singapore dollar (S$). Money changing services can be found not only at the Singapore Changi Airport but also at most shopping malls and hotels around the island. You can also access the automated teller machines (ATMs) located everywhere (even in the most obscure bits) in Singapore, that accept most of the main credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Electricity
Singapore's electricity voltage is 220-240V with ac, 50 cycles per second. Generally, the electricity outlets are three-pronged - two parallel flat pins with a ground outlet. We recommend you bring a universal travel adaptor for electric devices.
Distilled Water
Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

Visitors must have a valid passport or internationally recognized travel document valid for minimum six months beyond the date of entry into Singapore. You should also check with your local embassy for any visa requirements for your nationality.

Hong Kong is a city of contrasts with the old and new intertwined everywhere you look. Century-old temples and gardens share the same streets with multi-storied offices, skyscrapers and residential housing. Enjoy a ride on the Peak Tram to the soaring heights of Victoria Peak, experience the Star Ferry on a ride across Victoria Harbour viewing the famous Hong Kong skyline along the way, stroll through the Tang Dynasty Nunnery and Garden and check out over 900 priceless national treasures displayed at the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
Day 1
Disembark the ship and proceed to Hong Kong Island. For the ultimate view of the surroundings, you will ride the re-vitalized tram up to Victoria Peak. The world’s steepest funicular railway, the Peak Tram opened in 1888 and has been providing spectacular panoramas ever since. As you ascend, you may notice that the steep slope causes an optical illusion in which the skyscrapers seem to be standing at impossible angles.
After pausing for photos at the peak, you will drive on to Aberdeen fishing village and board a sampan boat. While on the water, you can expect to see fishing boats, Chinese junks and villagers doing chores. The experience offers a candid look into daily life, as does your next stop—the last remaining jewelry outlet featuring hand-made unique designs combining East and West influences.
Following lunch, it’s on to vibrant Stanley Market, a highly popular shopping destination for merchandise such as silk garments, Chinese costume jewelry and art. As an alternative in Stanley, you might explore Tin Hau Temple, which once stood at the edge of the sea, and the Murray House, an early 19th-Century building that was moved from its original site to the seaside.
Your next destination is the Star Ferry pier where you will board a ferry for a ride across Victoria Harbour. Take in the spectacular views of the skyline from this vantage point on the water.
Following your ride on the ferry, return to your hotel for an evening at leisure and dinner on your own.
Don’t miss the spectacular 10-minute “Symphony of Lights” show around Victoria Harbor! Your hotel concierge can tell you the start time (Normally around 8pm).
Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart to visit the hidden gems in the City – the sacred Chi Lin Nunnery, a Buddhist temple complex, and the charming Nan Lian Garden of the Tang Dynasty where each stone, tree, rock or water element is landscaped after specific rules and regulations. With the backdrop of Chi Lin Nunnery, you will find the typical Hong Kong high-rise buildings making for an interesting clash of old, new, calm and hustle.
Next, drive to Tai Po and enjoy a panoramic view of the waterfront and Tolo Harbor at the Spiral Lookout Tower - a large-scale landmark established to mark the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong to China in 1997.
Visit a bustling food market that sells all kinds of fresh products, dried herbs and seafood. Next door is the century old Man Mo Temple dedicated to the gods Man (Literature) and Mo (Martial Arts). It serves as a center of worship for the community.
After sampling a Chinese dim sum lunch at a local restaurant, you will be transferred back to Kowloon with a stop the West Kowloon Cultural District. Visit the Hong Kong Palace Museum which presents over 900 priceless treasures from the Beijing Palace Museum. Many are on display for the first time in Hong Kong, while others have never been shown to the public before. The Museum also regularly presents special exhibitions featuring Chinese art and culture, as well as art and treasures from other parts of the world.
After your visit, return to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own. Perhaps try the famous Peking Duck – Shangri La’s Concierge can make a reservation for you the best restaurants!
Day 3
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then a day at leisure to explore the sights on your own or simply relax and enjoy the amenities of the hotel.
Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong, sits in the famous shopping and entertainment district of Tsim Sha Tsui East. The moment you step out, your adventure begins! Regent’s hospitality desk representatives can help you plan your day. Don’t miss the vibrant Night Market!
Lunch and dinner are on your own.

Embark on a remarkable journey through China’s timeless marvels. Fly to Xi’an, the vibrant heart of Shaanxi Province, where you’ll explore celebrated sites such as the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors Museum, the historic Wild Goose Pagoda, the lively Muslim Quarter, the impressive Grand Mosque, and the insightful Xian Museum. Cap off your visit with an enriching evening at the Tang Dynasty Theatre before returning to Hong Kong.
Special Notes:
•Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
•Please ensure that RSSC has your most up to date passport details for hotel and airline reservations at least 120 days before departure.
•If you have any food intolerances or special dietary needs, please contact the Regent Reservations Team at least 120 days prior to your departure. It is important that your land program extension reflects these details so our local vendors can ensure smooth and enjoyable dining experiences.
•Please review the documentation section further below as a Chinese Visa is required for this program.
Day 1
Disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for your flight to Xi’an. Upon arriving in Xi’an and passing through immigration, customs and baggage claim, you will start your tour with an exploration of the Muslim Quarter and its Grand Mosque. Muslims have lived in the quarter for more than 1,000 years ago, beginning with the merchants from Arabic countries that settled at this terminus of the Silk Road. The Grand Mosque is particularly fascinating, as it reflects traditional Chinese and Muslim styles.
Walk to the nearby Defachang Restaurant, popularly known for its dumplings. Carefully hand-prepared, the dumplings are available in dozens of different shapes and colors and filled with a variety of local ingredients. You can expect the meal to be wonderfully traditional.
After dinner, proceed to your hotel for check-in and an evening at leisure.
Day 2
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to the Terracotta Warriors Museum, a repository for thousands of clay soldiers that were buried with China’s first emperor to accompany him in his eternal rest. Considered one of the world’s greatest archaeological treasures, the 7,000 life-size terracotta warriors and horses were buried for centuries until excavated in 1974.
The warriors are grouped in battle order, rank by rank, some mounted on horse-drawn chariots and others in infantry groups armed with spears, swords and crossbows. Each figure was individually created with unique characteristics.
Following the tour and a traditional Chinese lunch at a nearby restaurant, visit the Xian Museum which houses a wealth of historical and cultural artifacts from different periods. The exhibition area is divided into three parts showcasing displays themed on “Ancient Capital Xi’an”, other offers insights into Xian’s urban landscape, societal life and development over 13 dynasties while the special exhibition halls display various Buddhist stone sculptures, ancient paintings, calligraphy and jade artifacts.
Return to your hotel to freshen up before driving to the Tang Dynasty Theatre for dinner and a cultural performance. The lively show features beautiful costumes, ancient music, poetry, singing and dance, some of which were developed as parts of ritual prayers for a good harvest. Following the lively performance, you will return to your hotel for the evening.
Note: The Xian Museum is closed on Tuesdays. An alternate site will replace this visit should it be closed during your program.
Day 3
After breakfast at the hotel and check out and proceed to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. One of China’s most revered pagodas, it was built in 652 A.D. to house the sutras and figurines of Buddha that a Chinese monk brought to Xi’an. The building was eventually expanded to ten stories, although only seven stories remain, as the others were damaged in various wars. Nevertheless, the pagoda is recognized as a symbol of Xi’an.
Then, it’s on to a traditional hot pot restaurant for lunch, before driving to the airport for the flight back to Hong Kong. Upon arriving in Hong Kong, you will be transferred to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Dinner is on your own.
Day 4
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Check out time is 12:00pm. You will be transferred by private vehicle to the Hong Kong International Airport based on your flight details. Should you have a late flight, luggage storage will be available at the hotel until your transfer time.
Note: Couples or pairs will be transferred by private van or SUV (max 4 large bags total plus 1 carry-on per person); solo guests will use a sedan (2 large suitcases plus a carry-on). Extra luggage may require a larger vehicle at additional cost—notify your RSSC booking agent at least 14 days before sailing with this information. Transfers include driver only.

Please make sure to verify with the company you select to issue the Visa or your local Chinese Embassy, whether a single or multiple entry visa will be required based on your cruise itinerary as well as this program itinerary.
It is essential that any China visas be obtained prior to travel. We suggest consulting with your local Chinese Embassy at least 3 months prior to travel to obtain the necessary documentation or for any questions on the above in relation to this program.
VERY IMPORTANT – The name on your cruise booking, passport and visa must all be exactly the same for flight ticket purchase otherwise guests may be denied travel by flight. Please ensure that all documents are identical in spelling to the names provided for your cruise reservation including first, middle and last name. Manifests generated by the cruise line must match your travel documents.
Please also ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your planned date of return from China and it must have one entire blank page for the visa.
RSSC will require guests’ passport details within 120 days of sailing as hotels and airlines are requiring these details for reservations and ticketing. Currency:
The Hong Kong dollar (HKD) is the currency of Hong Kong.
Electricity:
The standard electrical voltage in Hong Kong is 220 volts AC, 50Hz. Most hotel bathrooms also have outlets for 100 volts. If not, you will need a transformer for electrical devices. The majority of electrical outlets in Hong Kong take a three-pronged UK-style plug. We recommend bringing an adapter in case the hotel cannot supply one.
Luggage:
On the flight from Hong Kong to Xi’an, guests are permitted to check in one piece of luggage not exceeding 20 KG (44 lbs.). Carry-on luggage must not be larger than 22x14x9 inches / one piece per person.
Excess luggage that you do not wish to take on the flight will be stored at the hotel in Hong Kong where you will be re-united with it on Day 3. If you exceed your luggage allowance on the flight, you will be subject to the fees imposed by the airline and payable upon check-in at the airport.
Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)
1.Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) - Guests must obtain a Doctor’s Certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry a POC. Further paperwork may be required by the airline.

3.CPAP Machine to be used during flight – same as above + a doctor’s note is required mentioning the need to use the machine during flight.
*Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding the CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of your manufacturer’s FAA-approval status will help to quickly clear any confusion that may arise.
* Not providing the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.
*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply, especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.
