DAY 1

Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai (DPS) Airport, you will be met by our local representatives and assisted to your private transfer vehicle. The scenic journey to the resort will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Arrive at Tanah Gajah with a warm welcome. Each guest will receive two Balinese sarongs as a gift which you may use during the water blessing ceremony on Day 2 (sarong basah) and to keep as a cultural keepsake.

Check in begins at 2:00pm however early arriving guests may store luggage at Reception and begin to use the facilities of the resort until the rooms are ready. Should you have an early arriving flight you may also wish to book an extra night to guarantee a room upon your arrival.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure and meals are on your own.

Note: A private van will be used to transfer guests between the airport and the hotel. Vans hold a maximum of four pieces of large luggage (total) plus one carry-on sized bag per person. If you will have more luggage, a larger vehicle may be required for additional cost. Please advise your booking agent at least 14 days before sailing if a larger vehicle is required. DAY 2

After breakfast, begin your day with an unforgettable adventure as you set out in a classic vintage open-air VW, guided by a knowledgeable local expert. With just two guests per car, this unique mode of travel offers both comfort and a touch of nostalgic charm—perfect for taking in Bali’s beautiful scenery in style.

Your first destination is the enchanting Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, a lush jungle oasis where long-tailed macaques play freely among ancient Banyan trees and centuries-old temple ruins. This magical sanctuary provides a captivating introduction to Ubud’s spiritual and natural wonders.

Next, visit the world-famous Tegalalang Rice Terraces. Marvel at the sweeping emerald landscapes, breathe in the crisp highland air, and enjoy a complimentary refreshing drink as you soak up the picturesque surroundings.

Savor a relaxing three-course lunch at Tangelo Restaurant, nestled in nature’s tranquility. This delightful culinary experience is a perfect way to unwind and recharge before continuing your Balinese journey.

In the afternoon, your adventure leads you to the hidden sanctuary of Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple. Surrounded by lush rainforest and crystal-clear sacred springs, you’ll participate in a traditional purification ritual—a soul-renewing water blessing guided by age-old Balinese traditions. DAY 3

Begin your day with a seamless hotel pickup and set out to explore the regal heart of Bali. Upon arrival at Puri Sukawati, you’ll be warmly greeted with a refreshing welcome drink as you witness a mesmerizing traditional Balinese dance performance at the palace—a truly immersive introduction to the island’s vibrant heritage.

Delve into Bali’s culinary secrets under the guidance of a seasoned chef from the Royal family staff. Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class, mastering the flavors and techniques of authentic Balinese cuisine. After creating your own masterpieces, gather around to savor a sumptuous lunch featuring the very dishes you prepared.

Elevate your cultural experience further by learning about Balinese daily offerings—a meaningful tradition at the core of Balinese Hinduism. The evening begins with exclusive Kecak dance performance at your resort’s outdoor amphitheater. Sip on a welcome drink as you settle into your reserved seating, complete with plush cushions for your comfort.

Before the show, our team will introduce the captivating storyline, allowing you to fully appreciate the artistry of this unique dance. The 35-minute performance will leave you spellbound.

To complete your magical night, you’ll be escorted to The Tempayan Restaurant, where a lavish Royal Balinese dinner awaits—an unforgettable finale to your immersive cultural adventure in Bali.

Day 4

After breakfast, settle any incidental charges and check out. As your Bali journey comes to an end, transfer with the group from the hotel to Benoa Port.

En route, stop at a traditional art market to browse local handicrafts, paintings, and Balinese souvenirs. Then visit the Setia Dharma House of Masks and Puppets, a distinctive cultural museum set among tranquil Balinese gardens and traditional wooden houses. The museum features one of Indonesia’s finest collections of masks and puppets, including Wayang Kulit shadow puppets, Wayang Golek wooden puppets, ceremonial masks, and rare theatrical pieces from across Indonesia and Asia.

Upon arrival at Benoa Port, your program concludes as you board the ship.

Land Program Details Step by Step

•The order of sites visited may vary to avoid congestion. Program times are approximate, given here for general reference purposes and subject to change.

•Itineraries with the up-to-date details will be issued when you are emailed your final cruise documents 21 days prior to sailing. You will then receive a final itinerary from our ground operator with a Welcome Letter upon arrival or at your hotel. Please review the letter and your final itinerary carefully for further amendments.

•The hotels used for your land program will be the hotels listed in this document unless you have been advised otherwise in advance of the land program start date.

•Guests failing to arrive on Day 1 of a scheduled land program will be considered a no-show and their hotel space released.

•Look for someone holding a sign with the cruise line logo and possibly your name. If in doubt, ask the airport staff to direct you to the meeting area for transfers or to page our representative.

•Meet and Greet and transfers are arranged for guests arriving on Day 1 of a land program or for extra nights booked through the cruise line and are arranged based on the flight details received by guests at least 14 days before sailing. Guests arriving independently before the program start date will not have a transfer included.

•If we have not received your flight details or your flights have changed, and the Destination Services Land Team has not been notified, then a transfer cannot be provided, and guests will be responsible for getting to the land program hotel at their own expense. Please immediately contact our Reservations Department for any flight changes before departure.

Temperatures range from 21 degrees (70°F) to 33 degrees Celsius (90°F), except at higher altitudes where it can get much cooler.

What to Bring

Lightweight clothing, comfortable shoes, a hat, camera, bathing suit and sunscreen.

Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply, especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

Documents and Visa Requirements

Guests are required to have a passport that is valid for six months after travel.

All guests will need to complete an Indonesian Arrival Card prior to entering the country. This single card combines a customs declaration online form, an Indonesia health pass and basic Immigration details. This does not replace a Visa.

e-VOA is short for electronic visa on arrival. It allows you to apply for Visa on Arrival (B1) online before arriving in Indonesia, saving you time at the airport. The e-VOA will grant you 30 days of stay in Indonesia, which can be extended once for another 30 days.

There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation.
