DAY 1

Disembark the ship in Benoa and meet your driver and guide a scenic journey to the resort will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

En route, visit the Setia Dharma House of Masks and Puppets, a distinctive cultural museum set among tranquil Balinese gardens and traditional wooden houses. The museum features one of Indonesia’s finest collections of masks and puppets, including Wayang Kulit shadow puppets, Wayang Golek wooden puppets, ceremonial masks, and rare theatrical pieces from across Indonesia and Asia. Also, make a stop at a traditional art market to browse local handicrafts, paintings, and Balinese souvenirs.

Arrive at Tanah Gajah with a warm welcome. Each guest will receive two Balinese sarongs as a gift which you may use during the water blessing ceremony on Day 2 (sarong basah) and to keep as a cultural keepsake.

Check in begins at 2:00pm; however, guests may store luggage at Reception and begin to use the facilities of the resort until the rooms are ready.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure, and meals are on your own.

Note: A private van or SUV will be used to transfer couples or parties of two between the airport and the hotel. Vans hold a maximum of four large pieces luggage (total) plus one carry-on sized bag per person. A sedan will be used for solo guests, which can hold 2 large suitcases and a carry-on. If you will have more luggage, a larger vehicle may be required for additional cost. Please advise your booking agent at least 14 days before sailing if a larger vehicle is required. Transfers are with a driver only.

DAY 2

After breakfast, begin your day with an unforgettable adventure as you set out in a classic vintage open-air VW, guided by a knowledgeable local expert. With just two guests per car, this unique mode of travel offers both comfort and a touch of nostalgic charm—perfect for taking in Bali’s beautiful scenery in style.

Your first destination is the enchanting Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, a lush jungle oasis where long-tailed macaques play freely among ancient Banyan trees and centuries-old temple ruins. This magical sanctuary provides a captivating introduction to Ubud’s spiritual and natural wonders.

Next, visit the world-famous Tegalalang Rice Terraces. Marvel at the sweeping emerald landscapes, breathe in the crisp highland air, and enjoy a complimentary refreshing drink as you soak up the picturesque surroundings.

Savor a relaxing three-course lunch at Tangelo Restaurant, nestled in nature’s tranquility. This delightful culinary experience is a perfect way to unwind and recharge before continuing your Balinese journey.

In the afternoon, your adventure leads you to the hidden sanctuary of Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple. Surrounded by lush rainforest and crystal-clear sacred springs, you’ll participate in a traditional purification ritual—a soul-renewing water blessing guided by age-old Balinese traditions. This spiritual cleansing ceremony promises a deeply meaningful and memorable experience.

Following this day of discovery, return to the resort where the evening is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

Reminder: Don’t forget to bring the sarong and sash received on Day 1 for the water blessing ceremony. A Balinese mat will also be provided to ensure your comfort during this special experience.

DAY 3

Begin your day with a seamless hotel pickup and set out to explore the regal heart of Bali. Upon arrival at Puri Sukawati, you’ll be warmly greeted with a refreshing welcome drink as you witness a mesmerizing traditional Balinese dance performance at the palace—a truly immersive introduction to the island’s vibrant heritage.

Delve into Bali’s culinary secrets under the guidance of a seasoned chef from the Royal family staff. Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class, mastering the flavors and techniques of authentic Balinese cuisine. After creating your own masterpieces, gather around to savor a sumptuous lunch featuring the very dishes you prepared.

Elevate your cultural experience further by learning about Balinese daily offerings—a meaningful tradition at the core of Balinese Hinduism. Discover the artistry and symbolism behind these handcrafted Canang offerings, as Royal family members share insights and guide you in crafting your own, deepening your spiritual connection to Bali.

Strolling through the palace grounds, you’ll be transported through centuries of history. Marvel at the majestic architecture and learn fascinating stories about royal dynasties, sacred rituals, and the palace’s enduring role in Balinese society.

After this delightful experience, return to your hotel to refresh and unwind, preparing for an enchanting cultural evening extravaganza.

The evening begins with exclusive Kecak dance performance at your resort’s outdoor amphitheater. Sip on a welcome drink as you settle into your reserved seating, complete with plush cushions for your comfort.

Before the show, our team will introduce the captivating storyline, allowing you to fully appreciate the artistry of this unique dance. The 35-minute performance will leave you spellbound.

To complete your magical night, you’ll be escorted to The Tempayan Restaurant, where a lavish Royal Balinese dinner awaits—an unforgettable finale to your immersive cultural adventure in Bali.

Day 4

After breakfast, settle any incidentals and check out. Your Bali journey comes to a close with a private transfer from the hotel to Ngurah Rai (DPS) Airport. The transfer will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and will be set up in accordance with your flight details. Check out time at the resort is 12:00pm. Should you have a later flight, you may store luggage at Reception, check out and continue to use the facilities of the hotel until your transfer time.

Extra Nights:

•All extra nights booked through the cruise line are confirmed at the same hotel used on the LAST NIGHT of your program.

•When you book extra nights through the cruise line, you will be transferred to the airport per the flight details provided. Check-out time is 12:00pm (subject to change). Meals other than breakfast are on your own after Day 4 of your program.

Transfers:

•All guests booking their flights independently are required to ensure the cruise line has their most up to date flight details so that transfers to the airport can be arranged. If flight details are not received 14 days before your cruise start date, transfers will not be arranged.

•Should you book any extra nights on your own, or your flight is not on the last day of the program, transfers are not included.

•Should you have a late departing flight you may wish to book an extra night so that you have occupation of your room until your departure. You will be asked to vacate your room by 12:00pm. Day rooms can only be purchased directly through the hotel.

Expected Weather

Temperatures range from 21 degrees (70°F) to 33 degrees Celsius (90°F), except at higher altitudes where it can get much cooler.

What to Bring

Lightweight clothing, comfortable shoes, a hat, camera, bathing suit and sunscreen.

Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply, especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

Electricity

Voltage in Indonesia is 220 volts, so a transformer will be needed to operate 100-volt appliances. We recommend bringing a universal travel adapter for electric devices.

Documents and Visa Requirements

Guests are required to have a passport that is valid for six months after travel.

All guests will need to complete an Indonesian Arrival Card prior to entering the country. This single card combines a customs declaration online form, an Indonesia health pass and basic Immigration details. This does not replace a Visa.

e-VOA is short for electronic visa on arrival. It allows you to apply for Visa on Arrival (B1) online before arriving in Indonesia, saving you time at the airport. The e-VOA will grant you 30 days of stay in Indonesia, which can be extended once for another 30 days.

Please note: Land programs that encompass multiple days ashore customarily include extensive and prolonged activity, while those of shorter durations typically have more moderate activity levels. However, each program varies, and participants should be prepared to negotiate a mixture of surfaces which may include inclines, cobblestones, sand, and gravel or natural paths. There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation. Weather appropriate clothing; hats; sunglasses; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are generally recommended.

Please note: All land programs are capacity controlled and subject to availability. Programs falling under the minimum number of required participants are subject to cancellation. Pricing listed is also subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases for transportation, land arrangements or currency fluctuations.
