Land Programs & Hotels

  • Join us for an unforgettable four-day journey through the heart of Seoul, where you'll explore iconic landmarks, experience rich cultural heritage, and indulge in delicious cuisine. From historic palaces to vibrant markets, each day promises new adventures and memorable moments.

NOTE: This is an extensive 4-day program that covers a lot of ground both on foot and by luxury coach. There is a lot of driving involved. This tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties due to the amount of walking, steps, and uneven ground. Should you have any special dietary requirements, kindly advise the Regent Reservations Team to note your land program booking at least 90 days before departing for your program. Any last-minute requests may not be able to be accommodated.

    DAY 1 - April 22, 2025

Upon arriving at the Incheon International Airport, you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in Seoul. Following check-in, the afternoon will be free to explore the area on your own. The Seoul City Hall area is known for shopping in Myeongdong, cultural events at Seoul Plaza, historical landmarks like Gwanghwamun Square, and nearby traditional markets like Namdaemun.

Check-in time at the hotel is 3:00pm.

Your hotel is ideally located in Sogong-dong and also has easy access to Seoul's top tourist destinations, such as Myeongdong and Cheonggyecheon Stream.

    DAY 2 – April 23, 2027

Immerse yourself in the heart of Seoul’s history, culture, and traditions with this comprehensive tour that showcases the best of Korea’s capital.

Your day begins with a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace, the largest and most iconic of Seoul's Five Grand Palaces. This majestic site offers a fascinating glimpse into Korea’s royal past. As you wander through its beautiful pavilions, courtyards, and gardens, you’ll learn about the rich history of the Joseon Dynasty. The Guard Changing Ceremony is a highlight, offering a dramatic display of traditional Korean military rituals.

After exploring the palace, take a short walk to the National Folk Museum of Korea, located within the grounds of Gyeongbokgung. The museum offers an in-depth look at Korean life through the ages, with exhibits that span everything from ancient tools and farming practices to traditional clothing and architectural styles. You'll gain a deeper understanding of Korea's customs, folklore, and daily life throughout history.

Next, it’s time for a traditional Korean lunch at a local restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a variety of delicious dishes that showcase Korea’s unique culinary heritage.

The afternoon begins with a visit to Insadong, one of Seoul's most popular cultural districts. Here, you’ll find a perfect blend of old and new—ancient traditional art galleries sit alongside modern boutiques, while tea houses and street food stalls create a charming, lively atmosphere. Wander through narrow alleys filled with antique shops, calligraphy stores, and souvenir shops, and be sure to sample some traditional street snacks along the way. Insadong is a wonderful place to experience the unique blend of Korean heritage and contemporary urban life.

Following Insadong, you’ll head to Bukchon Hanok Village, a living neighborhood where traditional Korean hanok houses are beautifully preserved. Located between Gyeongbokgung Palace and the historic Changdeokgung Palace, Bukchon offers a glimpse into what Seoul might have looked like centuries ago. As you stroll through its narrow streets, you'll encounter centuries-old architecture, winding alleys, and picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and palaces.

Next, you’ll visit Gwangjang Market, one of the oldest and largest traditional markets in Seoul. Here, you can experience the sensory overload of a bustling local market—smell the savory scents of freshly made bindaetteok (mung bean pancakes), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and other delicious street foods. Gwangjang Market is also a great place to explore Korean textiles, handicrafts, and vintage goods, offering a unique shopping experience that you won’t find anywhere else in Seoul.

After a full day of exploring, you’ll return to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

    DAY 3 - April 24, 2027

Experience the dynamic blend of modern innovation and rich tradition in Seoul with this carefully curated day tour, designed to showcase the city’s most iconic landmarks and cultural gems.

Your tour begins when you meet your guide in the hotel lobby, and from there, you’ll head to one of Seoul’s most iconic skyscrapers, the Lotte SKY Tower. Standing at 555 meters, this towering structure offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city, and on a clear day, you can even see all the way to the distant mountains surrounding Seoul. Take your time to explore the observation deck and enjoy the stunning scenery of Seoul from above.

Next, you’ll move on to the Bongeunsa Temple, a peaceful Buddhist temple located in the heart of the bustling Gangnam district. Dating back to the 10th century, this tranquil temple offers a calm escape from the city’s fast pace, with beautiful pagodas, serene gardens, and the chance to learn about Korea’s Buddhist traditions. The temple’s striking architecture and spiritual atmosphere make it a must-visit site for any culture lover.

From there, take a short walk to the COEX Mall, one of the largest underground shopping malls in the world. Inside, you'll find the stunning Starfield Library, a vast open space filled with towering bookshelves and a massive selection of books. This architectural wonder is perfect for those who appreciate both modern design and the joy of reading, and it provides a unique experience in the heart of one of the world’s most advanced shopping centers.

After exploring the library, enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the many eateries in COEX.

In the afternoon, you’ll move to the National Museum of Korea, a true treasure trove of Korean art and history. Here, you can explore the museum’s extensive collection, which includes ancient artifacts, traditional Korean paintings, sculptures, and more. The museum’s exhibits provide a deep dive into the history of Korea, offering insights into the country’s development from ancient times to the present day. Whether you’re an art lover or a history enthusiast, this stop is sure to leave a lasting impression.

After your museum visit, take a short drive to Myeongdong Street, one of Seoul’s most famous shopping and entertainment districts. This vibrant neighborhood is packed with fashion boutiques, beauty shops, street food vendors, and plenty of opportunities for people-watching. Myeongdong is the perfect place to soak in the energy of modern Seoul, whether you’re shopping for the latest trends or sampling local delicacies like hotteok (sweet pancakes) and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes).

As the day draws to a close, enjoy a traditional Korean banquet-style dinner known as Hanjeongsik. This formal, multi-course meal features a variety of meticulously prepared dishes, offering a comprehensive taste of Korean culinary culture. Expect a balanced mix of flavors, textures, and colors, from savory stews to grilled meats, all served with an array of side dishes and banchan.

    DAY 4 – April 25, 2027

Start your day with a delicious breakfast buffet at your hotel, fueling up for an exciting morning of exploration. After check-out, begin your journey to some of Incheon’s most notable landmarks.

The first stop is the Landing Memorial Hall, where you'll learn about Korea’s significant military history. This memorial hall commemorates the successful landing of UN forces during the Korean War and is a poignant reminder of the country’s resilience. Your visit here will provide a deeper understanding of Korea’s modern history and its impact on the region.

Next, you'll move on to G-Tower, an iconic landmark in the heart of the Songdo International Business District. While there, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding city and the waterfront, as well as learn about the history and development of this futuristic district.

After exploring G-Tower, you'll transfer to the port for embarkation.

    Special Notes:

•This program involves walking distances at times over uneven ground. It is not recommended for guests who require use of wheelchair, walker or cane.

•Please advise the RSSC Reservations team when you book this program should you have any special dietary restrictions or requirements. Requests will be sent to our local ground operators for review. In Japan, dietary requests including vegetarian cannot be accommodated on the day, so please notify in advance for review.

•In general, hotel rooms in Japan are smaller than hotel rooms elsewhere around the world. Per Japanese culture, standard typical bedding is two twin beds. Although every effort will be made to obtain rooms with one bed for couples, this cannot be guaranteed. Should you require two beds, kindly make sure to advise this when booking your program.

    DAY 1

Upon disembarking your ship in Tokyo, meet your guide and commence your tour of the city.

Your first stop will be Hama Rikyu Garden, a prominent landscaped area situated in central Tokyo. The garden features seawater ponds and a traditional tea house. Originally constructed as the Tokyo residence and duck hunting grounds for a feudal lord during the Edo Period (1603-1867), it later functioned as both a strolling garden and an imperial detached palace before its opening to the public in its present form. With Tokyo’s contemporary skyline serving as a backdrop, the setting is truly distinctive. The seasonal trees and flowers, such as maple and ginkgo, contribute to a tranquil atmosphere.

Continue to The Tokyo National Museum, recognized as Japan’s oldest and largest national museum. It houses extensive collections of artworks and archaeological artifacts ranging from ancient art (11,000 BC) to the Edo period (early 19th century). The museum offers insight into Japanese culture, including Zen, ink painting, tea ceremonies, and fashion arts.

Following lunch at a local restaurant, visit Tokyo Tower, a renowned landmark that serves as both an active broadcasting tower and a popular site for visitors seeking panoramic views of the city.

Afterward, you will transfer to your hotel, proceed with check-in, and enjoy the remainder of your evening at leisure with dinner on your own.

The Prince Park Tower Tokyo features a striking open atrium lobby and the high-rise Stellar Garden, where guests can sip signature cocktails while admiring views of the iconic Tokyo Tower. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery and rises above downtown Tokyo, with stylish rooms offering sweeping views of both the city skyline and nearby parks. Located in the lively heart of Tokyo, guests have immediate access to restaurants, shops, bars, and galleries. Major attractions like Tokyo Tower and the historic Zojo-ji Temple are just a short stroll away, while Akabanebashi and Shibakoen subway stations are conveniently located only minutes from the hotel.

Note: There are a few steps to enter the Tokyo National Museum. An elevator is available inside the museum. There is also a walk of about 5 minutes from the parking lot to the museum entrance. Hama Rikyu’s ground is uneven in some places with steps here and there. If Day 1 falls on a Monday, the visit to the Tokyo National Museum will be changed to Day 2 as it is closed on Monday’s.

    DAY 2

Begin your morning with breakfast at your hotel and then set out for an extraordinary cultural experience at the Shunkaen Bonsai Art Museum.

Here, you'll immerse yourself in the elegance of a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, where a skilled master will demonstrate the meticulous preparation of matcha, or powdered green tea. This centuries-old ritual, cherished for nearly 800 years, celebrates the spirit of “once-in-a-lifetime meeting.” Savor the unique flavors of matcha as you witness the artistry and precision of this revered custom.

Next, discover the captivating world of origami—the Japanese art of paper folding. Enjoy a hands-on demonstration where you’ll learn about the significance of the crane, a symbol of long life in Japanese culture. Under the guidance of an expert, try your hand at folding your own origami crane and take home your creation as a special memento of your visit.

After these unforgettable cultural activities, gather in the museum’s main garden to receive a brief introduction to the museum itself and the delicate artistry of Bonsai. Take your time to stroll through the stunning bonsai displays and tranquil gardens, soaking in the serene, harmonious atmosphere before continuing on your journey.

After your visit, return to your hotel where the remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. Lunch and dinner will be on your own.

    Note:

Guests participating in the Tea Ceremony will be asked to remove their shoes and be seated on the floor (Japanese Tatami mat). The Master of Tea or Origami will communicate in English; however, their proficiency may differ from that of the guide. Depending on the size of the group, it may be divided into two smaller groups with one starting with the tea ceremony and the other starting with the origami presentation and then swap.

    DAY 3

Following breakfast at your hotel, visit Tsukiji Hongwanji, a unique Buddist Temple belonging to the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha denomination. Founded in the early 17th century, the temple has an impressive exterior of lotus motifs, minarets, and columns which were inspired by Southeast Asian, European, and Islamic culture.

Next, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Tsukiji Fish Market—Japan’s renowned “Food Town.”

Once reserved for professional wholesalers, today Tsukiji invites visitors to discover an array of authentic

Japanese cuisine. Wander bustling streets lined with a variety of stalls, retail shops, and local eateries offering fresh and delicious specialties, making this a must-see destination for food lovers.

Return to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Lunch and dinner will be on your own.

    DAY 4

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out and transferring to either Narita or the Haneda International Airports by private vehicle. Your transfer time will be based on the flight details provided and relayed to you during the program. Check out is at 12:00pm. Should you have a late departing flight, luggage storage will be available at the hotel.
