Performance Stars Join Regent Seven Seas Cruises for Spring 2008 "Cabaret Covention at Sea"

September 21, 2007 - Fort Lauderdale, FL - Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC), voted the world's #1 large-ship operator by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, will treat fans of the intimate nightclub entertainment known as cabaret to a journey to remember! RSSC's all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager will host the fourth edition of the Mabel Mercer Foundation (MMF)'s annual "Cabaret Convention at Sea 2008". The event will be featured aboard Seven Seas Voyager 14-night transatlantic journey from Fort Lauderdale to Spain, departing April 30, 2008.

The "Cabaret Convention at Sea" will feature a cast of talented and distinguished Broadway cabaret stars, including Marilyn Maye, Billy Stritch, K T Sullivan, Steve Ross and James Followell, who will entertain guests with shows throughout the voyage. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with the stars at special, "members-only" events. The Cabaret Convention at Sea will be hosted by Arie Boris, Editor of CruiseGourmet.com magazine.

The event is a tribute to Mabel Mercer (Feb. 3, 1900 - April 20, 1984), a famous cabaret artist and one of the foremost interpreters of popular American music. A portion of every Cabaret Convention at Sea fare will go to MMF, a nonprofit arts organization that honors Mercer's memory through the support of events that celebrate the American songbook through the art form of Cabaret.

Seven Seas Voyager's transatlantic journey departs Fort Lauderdale on April 30 for a crossing to Hamilton, Bermuda; Horta, Azores; Funchal, Madeira; and Malaga, Valencia and Barcelona, Spain. The itinerary also features seven luxurious days spent at sea.

Seven Seas Voyager is one of Regent Seven Seas Cruises' two all-suite, all-balcony ships, the only ones of their kind in the world. The luxury ship offers cuisine by the famed Le Cordon Bleu® of Paris in Signatures, one of four single, open-seating restaurants. Accommodating only 700 guests, she is one of the most spacious cruise ships afloat, and her staff-to-guest ratio of 1 to 1.6 provides the highest level of personal service in the six-star tradition of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Rates for the MMF Cabaret Convention at Sea 2008 start at $5,170 per person, double occupancy. Please call Hartford Holidays Travel (800-828-4813) for reservations, or visit www.cruisegourmet.com.
