Description

Admire the natural beauty of the Helgeland archipelago while kayaking among its islands, one of which you will visit for a tasting of locally sourced seafood. After a briefing on the pier to ensure that you maximize the experience, you will paddle off into the archipelago, which consists of more than 20,000 islands, islets and skerries. The sheltered sea here is typically calm and ideal for kayaking, which will allow you to focus on the surrounding natural wonders, which are considerable. The archipelago was formed during the last Ice Age, when the glaciers receded and left behind a shallow coastal landscape, parts of which are mountainous. As you paddle along, the only sounds will be those of nature, perhaps a chorus of seabirds or the whisper of the waves gently lapping the shore. For a closer view of the striking landscape, you will stop on the small island of Salhusrogan for a snack.
