With a land area of 215 square miles, Phuket Island is about the same size as Singapore, making it Thailand's largest island. Known as the "Pearl of Thailand," this beautiful retreat offers pristine beaches, lush vegetation, traditional villages, and seascapes of huge limestone pillars that tower over the turquoise waters of Phang-Nga Bay. Apart from tourism, much of the province's wealth derives from tin production, which started back in the 16th century.

Having been the capital of seven different cultures over the course of history, New Delhi is a fascinating fusion of them all. The art and architecture of the city reflects its ancient and multifaceted heritage. After a bit of time to relax and refresh at the hotel, dinner will be served there.

    DAY 2 – April 13, 2026

After breakfast at the hotel and check out, you will transfer to the airport for the flight to Dehradun. Upon landing, you will transfer to the Ananda In the Himalayas resort, where the remainder of the day will be at your leisure.

Ananda is an award-winning spa resort situated at the Himalayan foothills in North India. It is surrounded by forests of tropical Sal trees and overlooks the spiritual town or Rishikesh and the Ganges River Valley. This tranquil haven is a renowned holistic wellness retreat that occupies the former palace estate of the Maharaja of Tehri-Garhwal.

Ananda’s wellness experts possess decades of experience and a passion for curating transformational journeys.

You will stay in a luxurious deluxe garden-view room that opens onto a large porch or balcony that offers picture-perfect views. Later, during the heritage walk, you will explore the medieval ruins in Hauz Khas Village & Deer Park. The madrasa and tomb of Sultan Firuz Shah Tughluq are unique among monuments in the city of Delhi. • OVERLAND - GOLDEN TEMPLE OF AMRITSAR CODE: HKTL01

Delve into the history of Amritsar by visiting the Golden Temple during the day and again at night, spend time with a local family in a rural village and behold the moving Qutub Minar victory tower in Delhi.

Special Note: This tour is not suitable for guests with walking limitations as extensive walking is involved in both Amritsar and Delhi. Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.

    DAY 1 – April 12, 2026

After disembarking the ship in Phuket and clearing immigration, you will proceed to the gangway. Our guide and a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you from the pier to the Phuket International Airport, where you will check-in for your unaccompanied flight to Delhi. After a bit of time to relax and refresh at the hotel, dinner will be served there.

    DAY 2 – April 13, 2026

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for the flight to Amritsar, a bustling city synonymous with the Golden Temple – the Mecca of the Sikh faith.

Local representatives will meet you at the Amritsar airport and assist with your transfer to the hotel.

After lunch at the hotel, you will proceed to the Wagah border, the line between India and Pakistan. As the sun begins to set, you will witness a spectacle that brings history to life as soldiers from both sides lower their respective country flags and walk through no man’s land into each other’s territories.

The flag-lowering, loud music and dancing typically begins on the Indian side. The objective is to out-march, out-salute and out-shout the soldiers on the other side. It will be quite the spectacle to watch.

Afterwards, you will return to the hotel for dinner and to spend the evening.

    DAY 3 – April 14, 2026

After breakfast at the hotel, you will join a heritage walk through the narrow lanes in the old part of the city. Along the way, you will browse markets and see local life as the residents go about their day.

In time, you will arrive at the Golden Temple, where thousands of worshippers congregate in the light of day. Ram Das, the fourth Sikh guru, founded the city of Amritsar in 1574 while excavating the holy tank that is at the center of the shrine complex. The temple, which is adorned in gold and marble, is truly a sight to behold.

After visiting the temple, you will proceed to the Jallianwala Bagh memorial, where you can pay your respects to the martyrs of the Indian freedom struggle. During the British rule in India, General Dyer opened fire on innocent people at this very place in April 1913, causing a massacre and a huge national outcry. The walls of the memorial park still bear the bullet marks of the tragedy. To better understand the event, you can read first-person accounts and view photos and old newspaper articles in a gallery in the park.

Following lunch, you will return to the hotel to relax for a few hours before dinner. Afterwards, you will head back to the Golden Temple – also known as Harmandir Sahib – in the evening, a time when the temple appears most serene and sublime.

    DAY 4 – April 15, 2026

After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to a rural village in the state of Punjab. Life in this agricultural self-reliant community has changed dramatically since the Green Revolution in the 1970s, which fueled an increase in food production.

Once you arrive, a local family will welcome you by offering tea and vegetable fritters known as pakoras.

Afterwards, you can try your hand at turban tying and take a tractor-and-cart ride into the fields. Other activities at the farm include an entertaining tug of war, a demonstration of Sikh martial arts and dancing to the beat of a dohl drum.

A traditional meal will then be served consisting of papad crackers, Daal Makhni black lentils, seasonal vegetables, a chicken dish, salad, rice, Chapati flatbread and dessert. Feel free to help cook one of the dishes.

Afterwards, you will return to the hotel to relax for a few hours before dinner at the hotel.

    DAY 5 – April 16, 2026

There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation.
