Luxury cruisers who love to be among the first to try out the amenities of the newest cruise ships, check out the brand-new cabins, and enjoy the cuisine of their debut restaurants can now reserve their spot on the maiden voyage of Seven Seas Prestige™, setting sail in December 2026.
Seven Seas Prestige, now under construction in the famous Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, will share the sumptuous features of her six sister ships and incorporate new design features. Guests suites will be even larger, and the most splendid will span two stories and have their own elevators. Seven Seas Prestige will still contain the Regent array of a half dozen popular gourmet restaurants, but with updated décor and expanded menus.
Seven Seas Prestige will also launch Azure, a specialty restaurant with Mediterranean flair and mezze-style communal dining. Mezze dining, in which diners share from a collection of small flavorful dishes, is popular in countries as varied as Greece, Turkey and Egypt. Azure meals will begin with an amuse-bouche and several shared appetizers. Main courses will include colorful salads and platters of regional vegetables, grilled meats, kebabs, pita and flatbreads.
“Cuisine has always been at the heart of the Regent experience, and with Seven Seas Prestige, we are taking our commitment to epicurean perfection to an entirely new level,” says Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer for the cruise line. “I’m especially excited to introduce Azure, an innovative and exciting new dining experience that will bring fresh flavors and a bold new concept for Regent guests to enjoy.”
Azure’s decor will imbue color and design from sunny Mediterranean countries like Morocco, Spain, Italy, Greece, Israel and Lebanon, says Yohandel Ruiz, a founding partner with boutique firm Studio DADO. “It will feel exotic, but also comfortable and welcoming.” Special touches will include mosaics, rustic pottery, clay pots and dried flower arrangements.
Upgrades will also enhance versions of the fleet’s popular restaurants. Aboard Seven Seas Prestige, guests will enter the main restaurant, Compass Rose, through a sparkling tunnel, mimicking the stars and moonlight reflected on the surrounding water. And the ship’s Pacific Rim Pan-Asian restaurant will feature an enhanced Zen-like atmosphere.
Seven Seas Prestige suites are even more dramatic. The new ship will carry a maximum of 822 passengers and contain 411 guest suites, all with balconies. Private elevators will transport guests between the two levels of Skyview Suites, on Decks 14 and 15. Each includes a rooftop terrace with its own jetted tub. Grand Loft Suites “evoke the feel of a refined Lower Manhattan residence,” according to Regent, and each Horizon Penthouse Suite will include an oversized balcony.
Cruisers who want to sail before Seven Seas Prestige launches and begin enjoying all-inclusive fares and epicurean delights even sooner can choose from over 164 Regent itineraries scheduled between now and the end of 2026. Visiting over 500 ports with itineraries covering most of the world, sailings last from seven to 154 days.
Several upcoming voyages are Spotlight on Cuisine cruises, hosted by well-known chefs. On August 28, a 12-night cruise on Seven Seas Grandeur® from Amsterdam to Paris will feature Chef Christopher Gross, winner of James Beard awards and chef/director of Christopher’s at Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix, Arizona. Gross, who is known for his French-inspired bistro food, will lead onboard cooking demonstrations.
When Seven Seas Grandeur stops at Invergordon, Scotland, food-inspired guests can opt for the Foraging & Onboard Scottish Cooking Class, one of Regent’s 12 new Epicurean Explorer tours. A chef leads guests through local markets to sample local fare like haggis and to gather ingredients for Cullen Skink, a fish chowder made with smoked haddock they will learn to prepare back on the ship. Guests can also learn to make paella in Spain, bread in Malta and sushi in Japan on other new Epicurean Explorer excursions.
Wine lovers can still book a suite on Seven Seas Mariner® for a Spotlight on Wine cruise from Trieste to Barcelona sailing on October 22. Steven Honig will share stories about his family’s Napa Valley winery and host tastings of its top vintages. Or cruisers who enjoy wine and adventure can book an Alaskan Spotlight on Wines cruise next June on Seven Seas Explorer® led by representatives from the Ken Brown Wines in California, known for its small production pinot noir.
