Katarina Mladenovic, Traveling Beverage Manager, shared why this five-course gourmet wine and food phenomenon is among one of Regent’s most popular culinary programs.
“This is a true epicurean experience,” she said. “Every dish is carefully paired with hand-picked world class wines. The best part is that the chef and the sommelier explain their choices, so our guests can get a better understanding of what goes into food and wine pairing. We also want them to learn about the history of a particular vineyard or discover the origin of an ingredient, because these details make their travels richer.”
Throughout the lunch, you will be able to sip exquisite wines such as Champagne Perrier Jouet, La Mission Haut Brion, Shafer Cabernet, and Bertani Amarone to name a few examples. Katarina explained that the onboard teams pride themselves in constantly updating the menu items. “Our selections are always changing. We often have repeat guests that enjoy this experience, and we want them to taste something new every time.”
The Connoisseur Wine Lunch is so popular that she has had guests ask her about it right on the gangway. The best way to secure an invitation is to ask your Sommelier or inquire at Reception. To offset the cost of the exclusive wines served at the lunch, there is a $169 per person fee.
