Take Advantage of Included Valet Laundry
Assembling your outfits for your voyage is easy. You’ll need resort-style clothing during the day and elegant casual wear for the evenings. (You can read more about our dress code here.) Yet, packing for at least two outfits per day can result in an overstuffed suitcase… especially on Grand Voyages.
Luckily, you don’t have to. One of the wonderful, included amenities for every guest is complimentary Valet Laundry Service. Enjoy the luxury and convenience of freshly washed, carefully pressed and crisply folded laundry picked up from and delivered back to your suite daily throughout the duration of your voyage.
What to Wear for Dinner
After 6 p.m., the ship’s ambiance becomes sophisticated and naturally, the attire should match. This might include slacks with a dress shirt or sweater for men with an optional sports coat or blazer. Pantsuits or dresses may be an option for women, as well as skirts or pants with an elegant top. Refined denim — free from tears or distressing — and clean, well-maintained dress sneakers in neutral or classic colors are also welcome during dinner service at all our restaurants.
And of course, if dressing up is what your vacation is all about then you’re absolutely welcome to do so on any day of the cruise. No matter if you are in a cocktail dress, gown or even a three-piece suit, you will never look out of place on board The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet®.
Should I Pack Books or Games?
Sometimes, the bulkiest items in your suitcase are not clothes, but those last-minute items you cram in the edges of the zipper, like books and games. You can avoid the added weight and diminished space by visiting the elegant onboard Library. Browse a vast collection of volumes, from destination-specific guidebooks to best-selling mysteries to classics of literature; check out the ones you’re interested in and return them when it’s time to go home. The same can be said of games and puzzles in the Card & Conference Room. Cards are only the beginning. You’ll find all the popular board games and an array of puzzles for your entertainment.
What You Should Leave at Home
Regent includes all the amenities you expect from a land-based luxury resort, with added special touches, such as plush bathrobes and slippers, designer bath products and reusable water bottles for excursions. For rainy days, you may use the oversized umbrellas you’ll find in your closet, and with their complimentary Shoe Shine Service, there is no need to bring a cleaning kit with you.
What if I Forgot Something?
You make a packing list and think you have everything you need, only to discover you forgot the sunscreen. For your convenience, the boutique shops on board are stocked with a wide variety of items, from toiletries to over-the-counter medicine. You may also find a few items you didn’t know you needed, like a new handbag, a gorgeous fragrance or a new designer outfit. The shop hours will be printed in your daily newsletter, but generally, they will open while at sea.
Can I Ship My Luggage?
Absolutely. Regent partnered with a company called Luggage Forward®, which allows guests to ship their luggage from their doorstep directly to their Regent Seven Seas Cruises ship and back home again. Enjoy the convenience of not having to carry, check or claim luggage. The pickup, transport and delivery of items are monitored throughout the journey in real-time, as Luggage Forward has automated every aspect of the shipping and Customs process to improve reliability – giving guests the personal attention they deserve.
