Land Programs & Hotels

  • Visit Sossusvlei, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its outstanding geological and ecological value. Discover the natural wonders and grandeur of the oldest desert in the world, the Namib Desert, with some of the highest dunes in the world. Then, look for iconic African animals on early-morning and evening game drives in Etosha National Park while spending time in between adventures at the contemporary Mokuti Etosha lodge.

Special Note: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour. Portions of this program are not recommended for guests with any walking difficulties. Roads in the Namib desert offer what is called the “African massage” – they are often rough gravel so they are bumpy and can be quite dusty.

Chartered Cessna 210 aircraft will be used. There is a limit of four guests per aircraft and passenger weights will be required at the time of booking for weight distribution on the aircraft. Please see further below for luggage restrictions. (plane type subject to change)

    DAY 1 – November 29, 2026

Disembark in Walvis Bay and transfer to the Swakopmund Airport. Here you will be met by your pilot and board a chartered light aircraft flight to the Sossusvlei Airstrip. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the beautifully situated Desert Hills Lodge, which is perched on a natural rocky outcrop and offers spectacular views of the desert and the dramatic sunset over the Namib.

Stay in one of 18 individual stone ensconced thatch chalets, each outfitted with all the modern conveniences you would need. Each has its own deck with uninterrupted views across the desert. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to settle in and then enjoy dinner at the lodge.

    DAY 2 – November 30, 2026

After an early morning wake-up call and some coffee or tea, depart for a drive in an open 4x4 vehicle to Sossusvlei. This is one of Namibia's most spectacular landmarks with its red dunes, the white salt pan and Deadvlei. Here you will have the opportunity to see one of the highest sand dunes before continuing to the Sesriem Canyon, the formation of which began approximately thirty million years ago. During your walk into the canyon, your experienced guides will share the history behind this magnificent natural canyon carved by the Tsauchab River.

NOTE: Hiking shoes, a hat, sunblock and water are recommended for the walk into the canyon. Pathways are dirt and gravel and can be dusty.

Upon returning to the lodge, check out (don’t forget your lunch packs) and return to the airstrip for a chartered light aircraft flight to the famous Etosha National Park. The name of the park is derived from the Etosha pan (lake) which is roughly five thousand square kilometres. It’s so big, its visible from space. Now the pan is mainly dry unless the rains are heavy but no matter what time of the year, it’s a gathering spot for all kinds of wildlife.

This park is one of the largest savannah conservation areas in Africa and is world-renowned for its spectacular wildlife including elephant, black and white rhinoceros, lion, leopard, cheetah, springbok, zebra, wildebeest and giraffe to name a few.

The contemporary Mokuti Etosha Lodge is a private oasis, where you will enjoy the comfort of a spacious room with a private patio. Banded mongooses, antelopes and numerous birds can often be observed from the patio.

Follow check-in you will have time to relax and settle in before dinner.

    DAY 3 – December 1, 2026

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge, followed by a morning guided game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle in the world-famous Etosha National Park.

Situated in the north-west of Namibia, Etosha National Park offers a first-class game viewing experience. The park's diverse vegetation ranges from dense bush to open plains that attract a variety of wildlife.

In the afternoon, after returning to the lodge for a delicious lunch, return to Etosha National Park to visit some of the waterholes that offer a picturesque opportunity.

    DAY 4 – December 2, 2026

After breakfast and check out, procced to the airstrip for a flight to Windhoek and then onwards to Cape Town where you will be met and transferred to the port to re-embark the ship.

  • One of the best-known structures in the world, Agra’s fabled Taj Mahal will awe your senses and forever capture your heart. Considered to be the finest example of Mughal architecture, the Taj Mahal is a glistening mass of white marble and semi-precious stones set amid impeccably landscaped grounds. This program includes the opportunity to visit two UNESCO world heritage sites: the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort both of which are legacies from Mughal times.

Special Note: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC), CPAP breathing machines or scooters should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour. The program is manageable for guests with mobility restrictions as long as they are travelling with someone to assist. Guests must be able to get on and off the tour coaches with little to no assistance. There will be various steps to negotiate at the hotels and sites visited (2-30 steps) and wheelchair ramps are not always available although most sites have them. Only the base of the Taj Mahal mausoleum is accessible to wheelchairs.

    DAY 1 – December 28, 2026

After disembarkation from the ship in Mumbai, you will proceed to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Lunch will be served on the flight.

On arrival you will board a coach and drive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. Sit back, relax and take in the vistas of India’s vast rural farming countryside along the way. Light refreshments will be served during the drive.

Agra, the city of Taj Mahal was one of the grand cities of South Asia. With the arrival of the Mughals in 1526 led by Babur, Agra entered a completely new era during the reign of emperors Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. Akbar made it a great center for learning, art, commerce and culture. Its cosmopolitan bazaars and its strategic location on the river Jamuna, was altogether a worthier setting for the focus of an empire.

Arrive in Agra and check-in to the renowned Oberoi Amarvilas which boasts uninterrupted views of the Taj Mahal. Voted as one of the top hotels of the world, its classical architecture is complemented by elaborate Mughal gardens, terraced lawns, fountains, reflection pools and pavilions. Every room has a frontal view of the Taj Mahal.

    Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

    DAY 2 – December 29, 2026

This morning you will discover the Taj Mahal at dawn. Coffee, tea, juices and rolls are served in the lobby prior to your departure.

With its incredible lacy white grandeur, it is perhaps the most perfect architectural monument in the world. In memory of his wife, the great Mughal emperor Shah Jehan planned this most extravagant and incomparable monument built for love. Although amazingly graceful from any angle, it is the close-up detail, which is really astounding.

Following your morning visit, return to your hotel for breakfast.

    Morning options following breakfast:

•Drive an hour into the Indian countryside to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone former capital of the Mughal empire. The city lived between A.D. 1571 up to 1585 and then became a ghost town, abandoned, possibly due to complexities with the water systems.

•Visit the Agra Fort, a World Heritage Site credited to Emperor Akbar, India’s great visionary. His sons and

theirs added to this imposing structure situated by the banks of the Yamuna River. The astonishing palaces, mosques and audience halls contained within its massive walls of red sandstone became once more a monumental mission of the Mughal Empire embellished by the artistic fusion of Islamic and Hindu tradition

    Afternoon Options following lunch:

•Visit the Agra Fort as described above

•Visit the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah in the old city, the first Mughal structure pioneering the extensive use

of `pietra dura’, the inlay work of marble, so characteristic of the Taj Mahal. This mausoleum is small and squat when compared to the Taj, but the more human scale has its own attraction, and the skillfully patterned surface of the tomb is exquisite.

•At the hotel, Agra’s leading astrologer will be available for consultation. Appointments for an analysis of your personal horoscope can be made at the Regent Seven Seas Hospitality desk

•Take a look at some of Agra’s famous shopping including Kohinoor, erstwhile jewelers to the Mughal court, featured in National Geographic. Old emerald necklaces, enamel, jewelry, silver, pocket watches in Gold and silver, textiles and embroidery form part of their private collection. The Marble Inlay factories steeped in this decorative art culture are also a specialty of Agra.

Later in the day, re-visit the Taj Mahal at sunset where the monument appears to change its hue, tinted by the glow of the setting sun.

Prior to dinner, enjoy a short cultural show featuring the classical dance form of Kathak. This royal courtroom dance arose from the fusion of Hindu and Muslim cultures during the Mughal era. It is characterized by rhythmic footwork, spectacular spins, mime and gestures that are a dramatic representation of themes from Persian poetry synthesized with Hindu mythology. Dinner at the hotel will follow.

    DAY 3 – December 30, 2026

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and either spend the morning at leisure enjoying the facilities of the hotel or you may take part in one of the below activities that you may not have been able to do the day prior.

    •Visit the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah

•Browse shops such as Kohinoor and the Marble Inlay factories

•Meet with Agra’s leading astrologer. Appointments to be made the previous day at the Regent hospitality desk.

After an early lunch at the hotel, check out and return to the Delhi airport for a flight to Mumbai.

Light refreshments served on the flight.

Once in Mumbai, transfer to your nearby hotel for dinner and overnight.

    Day 4 – December 31, 2026

After an early breakfast, return to the Mumbai airport for a flight to Mangalore. Light refreshments will be served on the flight.

Upon arrival in Mangalore, transfer to the pier. You will be back in time to prepare for the New Year’s Eve festivities on board the ship.
