Day 1:

After disembarking the ship in either Barcelona or Tarranona depending on your sailing, you will begin a guided tour of the city of Barcelona. You will pass the Columbus monument and the waterfront on the way to Sagrada Familia, the extraordinary still-unfinished church that famed architect Antoni Gaudí worked on until his death in 1926. The guide will explain the history of the church and its lengthy ongoing construction during your outside visit.

Continuing on, you will begin a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter, passing landmarks such as the La Seu Cathedral and city hall. A more sweeping view of Barcelona awaits you upon reaching Mount Juic hill, where you may pause for photos. You will then visit Spanish Village, an open-air museum with replicas of characteristic houses from throughout Spain. As you meander the grounds, you may observe artists such as glassblowers demonstrating their talents.

A tapas-style lunch follows, after which you will check into your hotel to spend the first of three nights. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure.

Day 2:

After breakfast, you will settle in for a direct transfer to Girona, accompanied by a guide. Northern Catalonia’s largest city, Girona is full of museums, galleries and Gothic churches, strung around a tangle of cobbled lanes and medieval walls. Reflections of modernist mansions shimmer in the river that divides the historic center from the gleaming commercial center.

During the comprehensive walking tour of the city center, you will enjoy an inside visit of the 12th-century Arab baths and see the remains of Girona’s historical Jewish community.

During free time that follows, you might savor lunch on your own before transferring back to Barcelona to spend the evening at the hotel.

Day 3:

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will receive a Hop On Hop Off bus voucher that will allow you to explore the attractions that interest you the most. Simply hop on the buses and hop off whenever you wish. The buses travel in a continuous loop between attractions that include the Picasso Museum, the Gaudí-designed houses Casa Battló and Casa Mila, and various shopping areas.

The entire day will be yours to spend as you please, with meals other than breakfast on your own before retiring to the hotel for the evening.

Day 4:

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will check out by noon (subject to change). A private transfer to the El Prat International Airport will be arranged in accordance with the departure flight time provided. For guests with late-departing flights, luggage storage is available at the hotel. Check out is by 12 noon.

Note: A private van or SUV will be used to transfer couples or parties of two while solo travelers will transfer by private sedan. Vans hold a maximum of 4 pieces or large luggage and 2 carry on pieces per person and sedans hold a maximum of 2 large suitcases and a carry-on. Transfers are with driver only.

DAY 1

Arrive at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris, where you’ll be greeted by our local ground staff and assisted to your private vehicle for a comfortable transfer to your centrally located hotel.

Check in and enjoy the afternoon at leisure to unwind. Note that the hotel’s official check in time is at 3:00pm however guests who arrive earlier may store luggage and begin to enjoy the facilities of the hotel until the rooms are ready.

Meals are on your own today, allowing you the freedom to dine at your leisure and discover Paris’s renowned culinary scene.

An RSSC hospitality desk will be available for approximately four hours, timed in accordance with flight arrivals, to assist with any immediate needs or inquiries.

Note: A private van or SUV will be used to transfer couples or parties of two between the airport and the hotel. Vans hold a maximum of four pieces of large luggage (total) plus one carry-on sized bag per person. A sedan will be used for solo guests, which can hold 2 large suitcases and a carry-on. DAY 2

After breakfast and check out, meet your guide in the lobby and through the picturesque French countryside en route to Normandy. Rolling farmland, charming villages, and timeless pastoral landscapes set the tone for a leisurely and scenic journey.

Midday arrive in Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy, celebrated for its half-timbered houses, soaring Gothic architecture, and rich medieval heritage. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the atmospheric old town, featuring highlights such as the magnificent Rouen Cathedral, famously painted by Monet, and the historic Place du Vieux-Marché, where Joan of Arc met her fate.

Following the tour, gather for a delicious group lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue the drive to Bayeux where later in the afternoon you will arrive (depending on your voyage) at either Château d’Audrieu or Château de Sully -both stunning 18th-century landmarks nestled near the storied towns of Caen and Bayeux.

After breakfast, meet your driver who will take you to Saint-Étienne-la-Thillaye, the only French UNESCO Creative City of Design. Here, meet your local guide and join a hands-on cooking class and lunch at La Cuisine de Brigitte, where you'll learn regional recipes in a warm, welcoming setting.

Continue sightseeing in Saint-Étienne-la-Thillaye, strolling through the peaceful village to admire its traditional Norman architecture, historic stone church, and pastoral surroundings that capture the essence of rural Normandy.

Return to Bayeux for a guided walking food tour that highlights Normandy’s rich culinary scene, from local cheeses to sweet delicacies.

Note: The guided food tour in Bayeux is a walking activity of about 3 hours, covering multiple stops within the town center. While the terrain is mostly flat, extended walking and standing may be challenging for guests with mobility restrictions.

DAY 4

Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel and meet your driver for a journey to the iconic Mont-Saint-Michel, one of France’s most celebrated landmarks. Rising dramatically from the tidal bay, this island village crowned by its abbey is a true wonder of the Western world.

Meet your local guide and enjoy a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Abbaye du Mont-Saint-Michel, where medieval architecture meets breathtaking panoramic views. Wander through centuries-old cloisters, marvel at the grand refectory once used by monks, and take in sweeping vistas of the surrounding sands and sea from the abbey’s terraces. These sites offer powerful insights into the events and sacrifices of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy.

Following these visits, depart Bayeux and transfer to the port city of Le Havre. An assistant will be on hand to ensure a smooth transition to your next destination.
